Continental O200 bolt part number by
Philippe[_4_]
Hello,
page 2-11 in IPC,
I see AN502-10-8 for #16 (vaccum pump drive gear bolts)
When I disasemble my O200, I found 12 point flange bolt and

Is any body known the part number for this bolts?
Is any body known where I may find a socket for this head?

The DOWA 81 - Escape from East Germany by
David E. Powell
As per Rob A.
In 1981, East Germany was still dominated under the Iron Heel of the
Communist Bloc. The feared Stasi police kept watch on all citizens.
Walls and fences kept people trapped inside, the most infamous portion
being the Berlin Wall, where many people who attempted to cross...

First, what are the odds of getting C-FWUT (Challenger) at PHL going
to Flying W and getting C-FWTT (Pitts) at Flying W. Lots of planes as
usual, so here they are.

Hello,
I want to place C85 piston inside an O200 engine.
Do these pistons need any machining to fit?
Thanks

Powered paragliding, paramotoring? by
John Doe[_4_]
Anybody try building one? Seems to me that it would be about the
easiest project for homebuilt aviation, to build a backpack cage
with a motor and propeller.
Powered paragliding looks outrageous. They should fix the problem
of the pilot being slung/slammed into the ground at low altitudes....

What size propeller for a 36 V DC motor? by
John Doe[_4_]
I have a Bosch 36 V lithium-ion hammer drill motor with batteries
and charger. What sort of propeller would be appropriate to stick
onto the shaft of that? Would a powered paraglider propeller be
too big? I just want to get a rough idea of how much air that
motor can push. Any...

open design practices and homebuilts. by
[email protected]
I googled "open source aircraft" today, and got quite a few hits.
It appears that open source practices and hard-engineering
(engineering that ultimately transcends from digital into physical,
unlike software) are still pretty far apart from each other. There
are several sites that refer to...

O200 reassembly by
Philippe[_4_]
hello,
I will begin the engine final assembly.
I read I need to begin with the 3 dowel screws and the front
two 7/16 through studs and low rear3/8 stud.
I don't find the tight order after that.
I guess it is better to tight all the stud nuts on big machined
washer before the...

Best gas welding rig for 4130? by
Gerry van Dyk
I'll add another cudo for the Midget, it's wonderful to work with. I
also have the chinese copy of a Victor medium duty torch kit. (same
as Harbor freight sells) I'm using the regulators, but the torch is
all but untouched. There may be some use for it when welding clusters
where 8 or 9 tubes...
