Where to find textual pireps? by
Andrew Gideon
I've been looking at aviationweather.gov. There's a nice picture of PIREPs,
but I'd like to see the text reports too. Anyone know where these can be
found on the 'net (or this site)?
Thanks...

Fly-In Beer Festivals by
Jay Honeck
Okay, before ANYONE says anything about how irresponsible it is for a pilot
to be (*gasp!*) drinking beer, the qualifying rules a
1. Fly in to a nearby airport -- preferably within walking distance.
2. Stay the night somewhere.
3. THEN drink beer.
Okay, that said, here are a few family events...

New FAA Safety Seminar Website by
Skyking
There is a new place to find out about safety meetings
and participate in the WINGS program.
If you are close to more than one FSDO, you don't
have to search multiple sites, just enter your zip and
distance that you are willing to travel.

Good luck, fly safe,

In Memoriam by

Let us all pause for a moment of silence for the destruction about a year ago
of poor Meigs field. You'll remember many thought briefly it must be an April

out to carve up the field at midnight.
To our dismay, it turned...

Passed my written tonight, I am very pleased with the accomplishment !
Managed to do pretty well on it. I had been using the Sporty's

Preflighting has changed for ever! by
Robert M. Gary
Check out http://www.keyhole.com They have a tool for $40/year that
allows you to "fly" to your destination before you fly! This isn't
like some flight simulator, these are actual satellite pictures. You
can even see your house and tell if your neighbor has a pool or not.
The pictures are 3d so you...

Starting Engine Question (O-320, Warrior) by
Lisa
My question refers to Warrior IIs, but could be about other
Lycoming O-320 and O-360 engines with electric fuel pumps too.
I've noticed checklists on some Warriors tell you to turn the
electric fuel pump ON and leave it on for starting, and others
tell you to turn the fuel pump ON, check pressure,...

Coming home I flew from Brookhaven direct to Calverton then to Bridgeport
