Elevator Turbulator tape question by JJ Sinclair
I'm planning on trying turbulator tape (zig-zag, probably) on the horizontal tail of my Ls-6, in front of the elevator. Anyone have any experience doing this? I added .4 mm ziz-zag to to the elevator of my LS-7 and it changed the stall dramatically. Before adding it, the ship stalled like an...

Schempp-Hirth customer service by Bill Daniels
I placed an order by e-mail with S-H for new gas struts for my Nimbus 2C on October 2nd and received them today less than two weeks later. In 45 years of flying and owning aircraft, this was about as painless a procedure to obtain new parts for an old, out of production aircraft that I...

Discus Winglets by Kevin Neave
Hi, The winglets on my Discus, as supplied by SH when the glider was new, don't have turbulator tape. I believe the original Masak winglets did use ziz-zag tape to good effect. Anyone out there know whether it's worth fitting to SH winglets & if so do you have an accurate position?

32 knot rate of climb in Greece by Ulrich
One of the members of the ASW-24 Newsgroup, Jannis Dimas, provided a trace of a wave flight he did in 1999 with his ASW-24E. The trace shows tremendous wave conditions including one climb of about 2 1/2 minutes which averaged about 20 knots and peaked at about 32 knots. The links to have a look at...
