What is a Doyne Apache? by
JAX
I've seen some Apaches listed that are 'Doyne conversions' but I can't
find what the conversion involved, except maybe 180hp engines. I know
about Geronimos, but what exactly makes up a Doyne conversion Apache?

From a scrapped airplane we received a King ADF KR85 and a Marker Beacon

We would like to try to put these in operation at our school for demo
purposes, but do not have the pin-out of these radios.
Who can please send us the pin-out of these radios.
Kind regards,

Cessna 182 as a tow plane? by
Jim Newton
I would like like comment on whether it is a good idea to use a Continental
powered C182 as a tow ship that would be mainly used to tow the Schweizer
2-33 at sea level airports. I content that the tow speed would not be
comfortable for a 2-33 and that overheating of the continental engine would
be...

rivet and dimple paint prep by
Dick
My recently acquired 30+ year old project restoration
had some "powder" under the paint at the rivet/dimples
on the fuselage. I believe it was old body putty.
What "filler" can be recommended for smoothing over the rivet/dimple prior
to repriming/repainting?
Thanks, Dick

Meigs by
Nolaminar
This could be in error, but was Meigs 100% "private"?
It is my understanding that it is/was a "private" airport and has never
taken Federal funding and thus the beloved Mayor and his crew were legal
(though not so smart or clever) in destrorying the airport?
Just asking.

I have posted several pictures of 489 NZ Sqn Hampdens. I am trying to
gather information on why one Hampden (XA-Y) appears to be painted in
an 'ocean' grey and sky scheme, yet images of both earlier and later
