US military air to air training by
John Doe
Has there been a good discussion of current US aviation military air to air
training.
In ref to this year's big exercise with India where the press is reporting
that the USAF's best F-15Cs got their butt whipped by India's Su-27.

Scrambling fighters by
John Doe
Hello,
In view of the 9/11 attacks, with some fighters being launched unarmed
for want of time, I have been wondering what are the procedures to be
followed before launching fighters onto a mission--I am not talking
about authorizations etc., but things like fueling them (or are they
kept...

Charles Bronsen... B29 TailGunner? by
John Fitzpatrick
The news media are reporting that the recently deceased actor Charles
Bronsen was a B29 tailgunner during WW2. I can't ever recall reading
anything about him on various sites dealing with celebrities who served
during WW2. Anybody know if this is true or just Hollywood hype?

Cargo plane in movie "Flying Tigers" by
John Fitzpatrick
Forgive me if this has been answered before, but does anyone know the
name of the cargo plane featured in "Flying Tigers" and any info on
it's origin and fate? It seems as though it was Italian and a one-off
unit, but that's something of a WAG.
Thanks,
John

Scared, Trigger-Happy Young Males
by Doug Casey
The war in Iraq is going to fail, utterly and disastrously. There are
many reasons for that, but one more lies in the prevailing
psychological mindset of the U.S. military. I'm not referring so much
to the young grunts, who are driven mostly by a...

Any of you know of any ATC, GCI, or any other aviation-type control
center or ABCC in SEA with the callsigns Joker or Jack, i.e. what
service, where located, etc. This would have been circa 1970-72.
