Not wanting to use control sticks by Lou
Well, here I go again, thinking instead of doing. My plane call for control sticks just like 99% of the homebuilts out there. But I've been considering using a control yoke (maybe cessna 150 modified) instead. To get from the yoke controls to the push/pull tubes in the wing I may have to use...

Fabric covering by Chris Wells
I'm using thin polyster fabric on my Easy Riser, and the old fabric was sewn together at the leading edge. The trailing edge was just glued to the frame. Can I simply glue the leading edge tubes to the fabric, as well as the trailing edge? If sewing is necessary, how do you get two 16' sections...

Wobble pump Handle by jerry wass
I just acquired a WW-II Wobble pump(D-2) and would like to make a handle for it--can anyone steer me to a picture of one WITH HANDLE ? I have already broached an 8" length of 3/4 SQ aluminum to fit the shaft---I'd just like to make it similar to an original pump handle. Thanx Jerry

Not wanting to use control sticks by Wayne Paul
Lou, I don't want to start a "flame" war; however, what advantage does a yoke have over a stick? I have flown both and prefer a stick. (http://tinyurl.com/yc6pog) The only advantage a yoke has is that it doesn't interfere with a woman's long skirt. Wayne HP-14 "6F"

Ok, what about the BD5 by Whome?
Ok, we have roasted the Mini 500, how about the BD5? First things first, forget the jet. So few people could ever afford such a thing it hardly seems viable from the get-go. But why has such a popular design (on paper) found so little success? Thousands of people instantly fell in love with it...

Bill K. gone west. by Margy Natalie
I spent many a long hour with Kershner while I was a student pilot. My copy is so ragged looking it's embarrassing. I actually spent an hour on the phone with him when he called the museum asking to donate copies of his Private Pilot Manual to the education department. He was really...

Capacitive fuel gauge...tank penetration by Ernest Christley
I'm working on putting a capitive fuel gauge into my welded aluminum tank. In consideration of how to bring the wire from one of the plates out of the tank...the best I've been able to come up with is to weld in a 3/16" tube run the wire through it, and pack it full of a ProSeal type epoxy. ...

http://www.airscooter.com/pages/airscooter_main.htm This guy got an MIT invention award and a gushing story on CBS news. But the bloody thing has a single engine and does NOT auto rotate, having fixed pitch blades, so you either have a ballistic parachute that somehow doesn't get tangled in the...

electric motor? by solarsell
Is there a reason an elecric motor with a backup gas or diesel generator wouldn't work in aviation? Here's a concept car idea: http://www.gm.com/company/gm_exp_live/events/naias_2007/index_flash.html?navID=3.0.1.1
