Was The Grumman "Bearcat" Flown Off Carriers? by
Kates Saloon and Knife Emporium
Was the Grumman "Bearcat" ever flown off of aircraft carriers? Was it even
flown by the Navy? I am trying to settle a dispute between my husband and my
brother.
Thanks! - Kate

Landing gear door operation by
Elliot Wilen
In another online forum, it has been claimed that on the F-18, F-14,
F-4, and possibly F-8, A-7, A-6, and A-4, all the landing gear doors
stay open when the gear are extended. While typically (or at least in
most other military jets), some of the landing gear doors open only
during...

an advertisement for the 737 as a maritime patrol aircraft complete with
hard points and weapons. It looks pretty cool, but I was surprised.
Does anyone have it in their present inventory or is it merely a proposal...

F/A-18 approach speed rule of thumb by
tscottme
What's the gouge for knowing the proper approach speed based on weight
(carrier landing)? I may get a chance for a few hours in a sim over the
holidays. The sim may use a CF-18 model, which I understand to be similar
to an A/B model Hornet. I'm assuming an A model is closest approximation.
Any...
