A note from the home front by John Keeney
Seems my niece's husband will be home from Iraq Saturday. He's had a stress fracture in his back and muscle spasms to go along with it and is coming back on a medical. Member of the 101st and is in Kuwait awaiting his flight home. She is, needless to say, pleased.

A quote from a Pakistani radical by Deep Avali
"We are not afraid of the Americans, they can't fight on the ground. We are only concerned about their high-altitude bombers. India and Pakistan must find a solution to their high-altitude bombers." http://in.rediff.com/news/2004/feb/13inter.htm I've always liked the concept of the high-altitude...

A record day for P-3Cs !! by AllanStern
I logged more P-3s today than I have ever before. I began hearing them before 8 am EST this morning, and I am still hearing them now. At one point there were about four or five of them in the pattern at Patrick AFB AT THE SAME TIME, while a Cherry Point MCAS C-130T and Charleston C-17 was there...

A-10 gear fairing by Kirk Stant
A question for any Warthog jocks (or fans) out the Why is the front of the right gear fairing on all A-10s painted gloss black? Is is a radome of some sort? If so, what for? Unless, of course, you would have to kill me if you told me, etc... Just curious, Kirk

A-10 in WWII?? by Stephen Harding
We've had a couple scenarios of aircraft going back in time and speculation on what sort of effect they'd have. I just saw a show on the A-10 Warthog with a top speed of 420 mph. That's WWII fighter speeds (although I'm not certain at what altitude). Since an A-10 can carry something like 16,000...
