Instructing in club environment by
bds
I am looking for input on how different clubs work with their instructors.
Do instructors pay the same dues and tow fees as all other members? If so,
does your club "compensate" its instructors in any other way?
Does your club pay for instructor refreshers or renewals? How about...

Instruction Idea by
Scott
This is just my idea, but I think it is a good one. I think during the
instruction before solo, a studnet should have to experience flying close to
another plane. I'm at a quiet gliderport and all through my instruction I
cleared before release and cleared turns, but I didn't know what I...

Instructor medical currency by

'An airplane instructor may exercise the privileges
of that certificate without a medical. The 'student'
must be qualified to ACT as pilot in command since
the instructor cannot be.'
I cut this from the ASA discussion group, I lurk there
and cannot find a link to register to post. This is
not an...

instructor technique by
Mike Stramba
Hello all,
A bit of my background. I've been flying power for 3 years (300 hours
... I was "keen" g), and just finished a "concentrated" glider
"conversion" over the past 3 weeks (12 flying days), and now have a
"glider" license. Literrally "glider", as I've been trained to safely
glide locally...

Instructors With Hearing Impairment by
Roy Bourgeois
Friends:
I'm getting near the point where I need to start thinking
about hearing aids. I would like to get any information
from instructors on this list as to what aids or systems
they have found to be best when instructing from the
rear seat of a two place glider.
TIA

Instrument Accuracy by
RN
This question is looking for legal (ie FAR) answers versus good
judgement.
Can anyone point me at the accuracy requirements for typical glider
instruments such as airspeed, altimeter, vario, and magnetic compass.
How much error is permitted before the instrument must be replaced or
repaired to...

Instrument panel labeling by
[email protected]
I'm looking for ideas on how to make professional looking placards/labels for a instrument panel rebuild I'm doing. I need to make tiny labels for fuses, and switches and I hate, hate, hate the look of the continuous strip label maker "sticker" stuck to the panel. It looks tacky, but they never...

PowerPole connectors, which he has fitted the fleet with. I've since
changed all my battery connectors to the 15 Amp...

instrument rating worth pursuing? by
[email protected]
Hi everyone:
I searched the archives for a discussion of this topic, but found
nothing recent, so here it goes.
I got my power license two years ago. Shortly after I saw the light
and was converted to gliders. I just passed my glider checkride a
week ago. Alas, now I am back in school in...
