Spinner strobing as a "Bird Strike Countermeasure" by Jim Logajan
The following thread on the Van's Air Force web site was of general enough interest that I thought it worthwhile to bring it to the attention of other pilots: http://www.vansairforce.com/community/showthread.php?t=24147 Would be quite useful if it really worked. Of course there would still be...

Cessna gear-up at MMU today (Morristown NJ) by Kingfish
I just got a call from a friend who was watching the news showing live shots of a Cessna making a belly landing at MMU. Sounds like one of the mains wouldn't lock down - did anybody see this? I'm sure it'll be on the 6pm news tonight.

Excellent TV Piece on GA by Jay Honeck
http://www.kgan.com/csArticles/articles/000055/005537.htm Amazing! This Cedar Rapids, Iowa TV station did a 2-part piece on learning to fly -- and did a wonderful job! The CFI in both segments, Tim Bush, is outstanding. He's a real pistol, locally, with a zillion ideas for growing GA, and...

Is it really called a "can"... by Tman
Or are the guys at the FBO just f'ing with me? The thing with the keys, paperwork, hobbs logs, etc. for a rental aircraft. What's the origin of this term? Google searches lead to nothing but other senses of the word "can" and online slang / dictionaries have nothing either. Is it an acronym? ...
