Going for my Multiengine rating by
Kobra
Flyers,
For absolutely no reason, except that I want it, I have been taking
Multiengine lessons (including Multi-Instrument and Commercial). The flight
school has a Piper Seneca I (PA34-200) circa 1973.
It fly's like a flying Bulldozer on Codeine (sp?). It's a beast...really.

Good Garmin 396 Mount - Cessna.. by
Dan[_1_]
All,
My flying club has a 98 Cessna 182. Unfortunately, the yoke mounted
chart clip is in the way of the standard Garmin 396 mounting bracket.
This chart clip is not removable easily enough that I'd want to remove
and re-mount it everytime I fly (it's a shared aircraft... If it were
mine, I'd...

Sam D. Thomas
I just passed my check ride and earned my private ticket last week.
I'm now starting to do some extended cross country work and would like
some input as to GPS units. I have researched (3) units and would like
some "real-world" opinions as to features, usability and support.
Here are the units I'm...

Kobra
Flyers,
I am parting with my the new Sporty's Air Facts DVD - GPS Techniques on
eBay. Here is the link: http://tinyurl.com/3c6rpv
It up for $5.00.
I just bought it and enjoyed watching it and it indeed had some useful info.
It discusses the 530, 430 and talks about the 396. It has two Air...

Handheld scanner models by
Marty from Sunny Florida
Hi all.
I'm getting confused about handheld scanners (some have dual trunking
feature with 1000 channels). I currently have a Radio Shack Pro-82 that
holds 200 channels in 10 banks of 20. Works OK, but I'd like something a
little clearer.
What models of UNIDEN/Bearcat, Radio Shack or other brands...

Hangar Insulation & Lighting? by
B. Jensen
I have a 48x60' hangar that I want to insulate for the upcoming MN
winter. What are my options, and what works the best? Anyone from
this area have any vendors that they can recommend?
I will also be adding some much needed overhead lighting. Any
recommendations here? I am not a millionaire,...

Hart Aviation Catalog/Website by
Michael Ward
I have ordered products from Hart Aviation in the past. I was just
looking to update my (2001) catalog, and found that the website no
longer appears to sell aviation products. On their website,
www.hartaviation.com, I found aircraft sales listed, but no pilot
products.
I was pleased with the...

Headset jacks by
Kyprianos Biris[_2_]
I would like to find aviation headset jacks that have a 90* degree twist
between the cable antry to it and the male jack itself i.e. like the ones
used in electric guitars.
I will also need the regular female ones (both for earphone & microphone) so
that I don't change the current headset...
