IGlide loses routes by
[email protected]
I thought this problem had been fixed, but it’s back. All my saved routes disappear. There is never an issue with the log files, turnpoint files, or map files. But the routes must get written to someplace that is not stored. And every now and again, they are gone! Is there a fix for this?

SALE - LX Era57 - $500 off list price by
Paul Remde
Hi,
I have more Era57 varios in stock than I need - so some of the older units are for sale at a discounted price. They were originally calibrated at LX Navigation on March 29, 2017. I calibrated them here on July 10, 2019 - so their logger altimeter calibration is good until July 10, 2024. They...

Standard Cirrus 1973 (Grob) no water ballast by
Ian Simmonds
Hi all
I am now the owner of a lovely 1973 Grob built Standard Cirrus - a thing of beauty.
What intrigues me is that the the glider has no water ballast in the wings and looks as if it came straight from the factory like this. No connector in the wing root and nothing in the cockpit to indicate...

Task Planning and Flight Review Software - alternative to SeeYou? by
Papa3[_2_]
What are people using nowadays for task planning and flight review? I've had SeeYou since the beginning, but I'm finding the latest versions to be so bloated with extra features that it's becoming much less user friendly. Task and waypoint management in particular is becoming a PITA.
My...

Mechanical vs electrical vario needles by
[email protected]
Hi all,
I'm considering buying a new vario, but am stuck deciding between the new generation of LXNAV/Airglide varios with entirely electronic displays, or a Cambridge/Borgelt type with a mechanical needle.
On one hand, with a pure display vario, there are so many more features available. AHRS,...

Replace air lines in Discus tail fin? by
Paul[_10_]
I'd like to put a TE probe in an unused tail fin pitot socket, but the 30 year old hose leaks. There doesn't appear to be access from the top, with the horizontal stabilizer removed. Does anybody know if the lines can be accessed with the rudder removed?
Plan B is to mount it in the turtle deck,...

Trailer drawer....IMI vs Cobra...any thoughts? by
Keith Schwab[_2_]
Hi Everyone,
Sorry for a pretty boring question, but I am going to install an under trailer drawer and I see that there are two products available: IMI and Cobra. I was curious if there is any experience which one is better/worse, both equal? ect.
Thanks for your help,

Per Bursell
I´m connecting my Oudie with BT to the S100.
The problem is when i´m selecting a task or ”goto waypoint” on the Oudie.
The S100 then Shows ”waypoint recieved” but when i confirm, it takes only about a second before the message
shows up on the S1100 again and so it continues on and...

Best Oxygen Setup? by
ProfJ
Ok, looking for the wisdom of the crowd (or even just the individual) here. I want to get an oxygen setup for my glider. It's an old-school touring motor glider (SZD-45 Ogar) but I like to soar it anyway, and I live in SW Colorado so I am regularly bumping my head on the 12,500ft and 14,000ft...

Depends which version you have.
I had one of the first prototypes in mine.
Was a hydraulic pump, no electrics needed, and also no accumulator
The second version has one.

Pulse oxymeter use by
John McLaughlin
I've searched this forum and google, but can't find the information - can
anyone tell me what readings I should expect to see at altitude?
Presumably, a steady decrease from the ground level reading, despite using
supplemental oxygen? But without a table of what's normal for each
altitude, how...
