Who de-activated ground-air missiles on 9-11? by
Laura Bush murdered her boy friend
The Pentagon is protected by a computerized system. When a plane
enters the pentagon protected space the computer automatically sends a
message to the plane demanding the pilot punch in a code allowing it
to enter the space. If that is not done within seconds, the plane is
automatically shot...

By the time the nuclear bunker buster is fielded, both Iran and...

Britain, given in "Fighter Pilot", B T Batsford, 1941
A pilot called "Johnny" has his photo on Plates 3 and 18. Does anybody

Why a Swept-Wing? by
James Dandy
Pardon my ignorance on all matters concerning modern aviation but just
why the hell would you want to sweep a wing forward?
Doesn't that make any aircraft unstable? If so, why would any pilot
feel safe in it?
Has anyone ever made one work?

Why All The German/Nazi Threads? by
David Joston
Is this a World War II newsgroup or what?
Why can't anyone talk about at least modern military aviation?
I, for one, would like to see more discussions on the F-22, F-35,
Eurofighter, Rafale, JAS 39 Gripen, Su-47, MiG MFI, or any other new
aircraft.
My son bought a toy Su-47 today and asked me...

Why Are Gasoline-Like Fuels Favored For Aircraft? by
CHANGE username to westes
Since taking up aviation as a hobby, I have wondered why gasoline, and
similar oil-derived liquid fuels, have become the defacto standard for all
forms of general aviation and commercial and military aircraft. Comparing
Jet fuel to something like natural gas, Jet fuel is four times as...

Why didn't Galland customize his aircraft for his needs? by
Prowlus
Looking at JV-44's craft the main commanders of this flight had
aircraft with either six 30mm guns (Bär) or massive cannon (Herget)
but why didn't Galland do anything to his ME-262 like the others? I'm
suprised he didn't get himself a upgunned 262 like Bär did or was he
the kind of pilot who didn't...

To understand the Constitutional issues involved in holding prisoners in Cuba
go to Google and download the Supreme Court case " Ex Parte Milligan 1866".
That will make everything clear.

Why is Stealth So Important? by
James Dandy
Seems to me like all the modern wars I can remember up from Vietnam
use mostly ordinary fighters and bombers.
I don't understand why such emphasis is put on that stealth stuff when
we use the same old planes from previously.
I still remember when the F-14 and F-15 came out. Don't we still...
