Major Overhaul by
Jim Weir
There have been a few questions in this ng lately about a "major overhaul". We
all have TSMOH (time since major overhaul) as an annual inspection calculation
in the logbooks.
Let's say that I tore an engine down to the last lockwasher, inspected each
component by whatever approved standard I...

Commercial Operating Certificate by
Vigo
Does anyone know if a commercial operating certificate issued by Transport
Canada is transferable to another company or is the only way to get it is to
actually legally purchase the companies shares.

pilots that lost medicals are you on the LSA group? by
Gilan
Just a note for any of the thousands of pilots out there that can't fly
because they don't have a medical. If you are one or know someone then have
them join the Sport-Aircraft group.
Have a good day and stay out of the trees!
See ya on Sport Aircraft...

Peltor Headset Experience by
Mark T. Mueller
Last summer I purchased two Peltor ProGT ANR headsets at OSH after trying
many models.
I have to admit, both passive and active noise cancellation are excellent. I
was amazed at the performance in the loud and crowded hall. BUT, I did find
a problem with evaluating headset performance solely in a...

Archer stabilator jack screw play by
Mike Noel
The fellow who did my annual asked me to order a jack screw because he can
see a little wiggle between the screw and the cable drum. He wasn't sure
which part was worn, but suggested we start by replacing the screw and then
also replace the drum if the problem persists.
I would like to survey the...

Former US Military Aircraft by
Marco Leon
I just read a little blurb in Fortune magazine about how Ross Perot Jr. gave
back to the US Gov't one of two T-38 Talons he renovated due to some issue
with the law about how flyable former US military aircraft must be owned by
a museum. Does anyone (maybe a warbird owner) have more info about...

ASI overhaul? by
[email protected]
Hello all... just looking for input on getting and airspeed indicator
overhauled. Any luck on shops/etc? My True ASI in my cherokee appears to have a bit
of a static leak. Thoughts on shops? I had good luck with Kelly Instruments (KS)
with two gyro overhauls last summer.
Also, any thoughts on...

GA paying fair (fare?) share by
Dude
Having seen the recent diatribes from airline executives, I feel like I
could just about throw up.
Don't these idiots realize that if it was not for their "all important"
fleets of precious cargo we could slash ATC by 90 plus percent?
Let's see how well they can compete with the charters if they...
