Need to move a glider west by Charles Longley
Bit of a long shot but as part of my retirement masterplan I've agreed to Purchase an ASW-20 in Ohio. If anyone is headed West from that area with an empty hitch I am willing to pay expenses to help move my new purchase. The glider needs to end up in Ephrata, WA. Thanks, Charlie

OAT sensor placement by Rob Shepherd
Where would be the best place to install an OAT sensor? I'm assuming somewhere on the underside of the glider but out of the airstream. Constructive comments appreciated. Cheers Rob

dimensional stability of composites by john firth
Currently, the PIK 20 E canopy is too long for the gap. The inability to force the canopy closed made me wonder if loading the fuselage in bending over a winter might cause deformation. In the PIK trailer, if the cradle does not take the weight, the nose cone and tail wheel could be supporting...

GliderLink - New team soaring app for airborne location sharing by [email protected]
I'm excited to announce a new soaring app I've developed called GliderLink. The app shows your location and the location of nearby gliders on a moving map. You can see the other gliders' callsign, relative altitude, heading, and vertical speed. That's about it right now; it's very simple. The value...

PW6 by Tom[_21_]
Anyone know the trick of getting the last rubber “donut” and it’s keeper on on the MLG suspension on a PW6? Doing the 6 year/1,000 hour mandatory items on our older PW6. Attempting to replace the rubber rings/donuts for the main landing gear suspension. How does one compress them enough to...

Uploading igc files to the OLC using LX9000 WiFi (LX Connect) by Dan[_6_]
has anyone been able to upload their flight directly from their LX9xxx? I went through the process, leaving the co-pilot data blank and choosing the takeoff location and finally clicking on accept. I got a red font message saying that the copilot data was not valid, it didn't seem to accept a...

Repair/Overhaul facility for motorglider engine by [email protected]
I am looking for a US based repair station or A & P mechanic that has experience and can perform a tear down inspection and repairs to a Grob 2500 engine. This engine is a derivative of the air cooled VW design much like the Limbach engines. I know of several folks that work on these type of...

Escaping glider on the ground with stuck canopy? by Steve Koerner
I'm hypothesising about a certain risk scenario that could happen: landing somewhere or crashing somewhere and canopy won't open. If it's hot especially, one might not last long enough for help to arrive if summoned by phone or radio. My question is how to get through a canopy that's stuck or has...

Dittel FSG50 squelch by Hartley Falbaum[_2_]
I am seeking the ability to adjust the squelch on our club's G102. I have info on the location of the pot for a FSG71m/70, but not the FSG50/60. Recently it is breaking squelch full time. I have searched for stray RF, and not found any. Of course, it could be a more serious problem, but the radio...

transponder 2 year check by [email protected][_2_]
I have a trig transponder (no ADSB yet). This transponder is not legally required in a glider. So, do I still have to get the transponder checked every two years per 91.413? https://www.law.cornell.edu/cfr/text/14/91.413 It appears so to me, but am I missing something?
