Honeywell KFC-225 autopilot - what could cause this failure? by Joerg
Hi Peter, The mpeg didn't play for me but just a few thoughts: Since they say they couldn't reproduce it on the ground, could this be a noise issue? Possible sources would be the radio, a transponder transmission, engine ignition, maybe a motor driven trim, fuel equalizer pump if you have one....

Citabria Pro (N5143T) ? by joerg
The current condition and location of the aircraft are unknown. A recent search of the FAA N number database list the Pro's N number (N5143T) as reserved, with no aircraft assigned to the number. A search of the NYSB aviation accident database can find no accident involving N5143T. Does anybody...

GPS 90 database needed by John
I own a Garmin GPS-90 and just tried to buy a database update from Garmin. With no warning, databases for the GPS 90 are no longer available. I am looking for a recent database that I can borrow or buy to update my database which is 2 years old. (Garmin suggested this when I called them) Thanks.

Learning To Fly? by John
Hi All, Firstly apologise if this is not the correct group to post to (My first time ;0) I'm thinking about taking up flying and have found a few schools in the US that seem quite resonable (for price and facilities). They offer several courses - i've narrowed it down to two: 'PPL Private Pilot...

Swiss Air 111 by John A. Weeks III
I happened to catch a very good program on the National Geographic channel about the Swiss Air 111 crash in 1998. Check the listings to see if it is being repeated...it was well done and worth seeing. I never heard the final conclusions of the investigation. I recall hearing that they dreged up...

Jet Blue On CNN by John A. Weeks III
Anyone else watch the Jet Blue Airbus on CNN do the emergency landing at LAX with the nose gear pointed crossways? It is worth checking out the highlights on CNN to watch it. That had to be one of the best and smoothest landings I have ever seen. The pilot really greased it in, and held the nose...

NC Engine Out Landing? by John A. Weeks III
I took a long road trip over the weekend. At one point, I was driving north on US-52 just turning onto I-74 near Mt Airy in north-central North Carolina. As I made the turn, a very low flying airplane passed over the freeway. It had one engine stopped and the prop feathered. I think it was a...

They are in New York City, across the Grand Central Parkway from the end of Runway 4/22 at Laguardia Airport. Specifically, they are in a parking lot at the corner of Ditmars and 90th. Anyone know...
