Multi - probe by KP
Hi All Our club G103 has a muli-probe and when you slide the probe in you cannot feel the "O"rings, it basically falls in. It must be leaking, pitot / static / TE?! What is the best way to replace the rings? Were do I get them? Ken (KP)

Parachute silk as material for Internal "S" sealing by [email protected]
Dear All, What is the opinion about using Parachute silk, as material for Internal "S" sealing ? I have an old parachute, think its material would be ideal for the aileron sealing of a PIK-20D. Any comment, god or bad idea ?

TOST E85 RELEASES by [email protected]
Can anyone out there confirm whether the timeframe for the overhaul for Tost E85 releases is still 2000 flights, or has that been extended ?. I seem to remember from the dark recesses of my mind that it had been extended, but I have been known to be wrong. Thanks in advance. Cheers, Charles

Best. Soaring. Cover. Ever. by [email protected]
There have been some pretty good Soaring covers over the years, but rarely does one cover photo truely convey the excitement, beauty and majesty of the sport of soaring as does the March 2005 one. Bravo! (Someone should submit it to Howard Kunstler's "Eyesore of the Month" web site. This photo...

glassholes by pw5isthebest
In a few different threads now I have read disparaging remarks towards those people who choose to fly gliders with less than a 40:1 glide ratio. There are a few glassholes on this group who put down anyone who can't afford or doesn't want to fly an LS-4. ASW-27, Ventus etc... Mention a Russia,...

Hi all, I'm seeking information regarding the RAF's Wave Project during 1961 at RAF Crosby, now Carlisle Airport. I am particularly interested in the type of gliders used and if possible to learn the identity of one which made a forced landing on or around 28/01/1961 with Sgt Leslie Manley at the...

A new direction for an old thread: Crosswind landings by [email protected]
The last few threads I initiated were preambles to a discussion I don't think we've sufficiently explored. Those of you who keep track will recall that I've asked first, whether we are sufficiently well-trained (Dear Burt), and second, if some of the models we use to understand flight couldn't...

Model Building (but not with plastic and glue) by [email protected]
To continue to my discussion with Burt... ;-) As noted in the previous thread, we all need to build an aerodynamic model to inform our decision making process. I'd like to offer up some notions that might make examining these models a little easier: First, a model is only as good as its ability...
