Auto conversion cost post by
Richard Riley
Sometime recently (last 6 months or so) there was a post about how
much a well done auto conversion costs. The point was that if you're
doing it right - rebuild with race quality parts, proven PSRU, etc -
that the initial installation isn't significantly less than a zero
timed LyCont. (I think...

homebuilder websites updated daily? by
Joa
What homebuilder websites out there have you found that are updated
pretty much every day (and that have good commentary and info)? The
only ones I visit once in a while now are rvproject.com and the news
ones. Others?

Harley powered airplane by
Brett
I built a Zenith 601 XL with a Harley motor. It took about 7 months to
build alot of that time figuring out the motor stuff. Then 3 mo.
waiting for the inspection. Well I just got my inspection done on the
9th and I took it up. WOW what a rush. You can see it at

Amphib: Coot vs Osprey II by
Greg Milligan
I'm interested in a plans-built amphib, and the Coot and Osprey II have
attracted my attention. Any thoughts/opinions about one vs the other?
On a related issue, I have been underwhelmed by the useful loads of both
aircraft...around 450 pounds, more or less. Is there any "conventional
wisdom" out...

HSI question? by
OSKI 3
I have an HSI (ARC IG-832) installed in the Aircraft. Just purchased a Century
1 Auto pilot. Can some A/P GURU tell me what two pins from the HSI I can
drive the A/P with? I have a schematic of the HSI pinout if that helps. Any
help
is welcomed. Thanks in advance.

Dullas or Kennedy. No you have the Saudi's in on it with Bush. Grow Up!!! I bet
you think 9/11 never happened at all. It did and it will again as long as those of
the Osama like are left to think they can do it...

pitot/static location by
Ray Toews
My Jodel has the pitot and static under the wing, it is built
according to plans and is just two pieces of aluminum tubing taped
together which gets bumped fairly regularly, enough so that the
previous owner built a little stick jig to adjust the bend.
The front of the pitot is in line with the...

Advice on Partnerships by
Jay Moreland
I would like to be able to share expenses and work on my experimental
aircraft now and in the future. I would like to have a partnership with
several others both to build and to operate an experimental 4 to 6 place
aircraft. Perhaps, especially in building, this is not advisable. I
would like to...

Cylinder Wrenches for 0-320A Narrow Deck by
DAVE
Hi, I'm looking for the 12 point serrated drivers used on the cylinder nuts
of an 0-320A Narrow Deck. I checked out the Autmotive Parts shops in my
local town but they only had them available in metric sizes, not the 1/2 "
and 3/8 " (I Think) needed. I have a set of Lycoming cylinder wrenches...

Bonded aluminum aircraft structures by
asennad
I remember seeing an article several years ago on a car company
developing a racecar using a bonded aluminum structure and rivet
reinforcing. It struck me at the time that this would make an improved
method of aircraft construction and I was wondering if this had been
used before on homebuilt...
