Got Pez? by John Shelton
The Adventures of Pez D. Spencer, Sailplane Racer, have returned to the Internet. The kind folks at the Central California Soaring Club at Avenal (www.soaravenal.com) have posted the original episodes and will host the new ones as they come off the press. Right now, there is some confusion between...

SSA Return to Kitty Hawk Link by Tom Serkowski
We had a schedule to adhere to, just like any other soaring contest. My observation was that if we had the opportunity to to sit around for 4-5 days at each site waiting for good weather, it may have been possible to soar most of the way. AT&T Cell Phones don't work at Hobbs by Bill Higdon
Reb Byrne wrote: My Cingular phone does work at Hobbs. There is a problem in town of caller ID not working and your calls go out as having the number blocked (can be a problem if calling someone who won't accept those calls). Once you get out of town it seems to work just fine. Reb...

Lark IS28B2 brake by Bill Daniels
I believe there is a disc brake modification kit available from Wings and Wheels at about $1200US. That seems hard to justify given that it is about 7% of the resale price of the glider. I just decided not to aim the monster at anything I want to keep. Bill Daniels Lark owner "Kurt"...

Super Cub towplane performance by Marc Arsenault

Silver Badge Fun (?) - real challenges? by Nyal Williams
Location, location, location! A well-known US pilot had the gold altitude and distance certified when he had a total of 19hrs gliding time and had not yet done the 5-hr flight. He is a person for whom I have enormous respect, a natural, but he still had to have the location at that stage of the...
