Undershoot Vs. Overshoot airport landing accidents by [email protected]
I always assumed that there are more overshoot airport accidents than undershoot ones. That is mainly due to our general knowledge that it's better to be too high than not high enough. Am I correct here ? Dan

Our soaring friends: storks by Tom BravoMike
As there were many discussions about how soaring birds help us find thermals, this may be of interest to at least some of us: storks have arrived today, after a long trip from Africa, to Przygodzice, just south of Ostrow Wielkopolski in Poland, the site of WGC 2018. You can watch them live improve...

Hi Folks, Looking for some crowd wisdom (or individual wisdom) on the subject of putting seals on a previously unsealed glider. I have an SZD-45 Ogar motorglider, which is a lot of fun to fly except for a couple of things. The main one is that the stick control forces get really high as the...

Ventus 3 Performance In Perry SC by Nick Kennedy[_3_]
I noticed the Ventus 3 took 3 of the top 5 in the 18 meter class. Looks like to me they have come up with a very fine ship. I haven't seen one in person yet, look forward to that day.

Flarm with External display by [email protected]
I have a portable FLARM that I may need to install in a loaner glider. Installation will be awkward but could be much better if I use an external display that I have surplus from my brick installs. Has any one done this and can you advise how it worked out? Thanks UH

Thermalling Primary Gliders by [email protected]
I'm interested to know if primary gliders were capable of soaring flights or if they only flew short hops. The SG 38, for example, has a sink rate of 1.3 m/s so in theory it's possible. I'd be very interested to hear of any stories about soaring one of these gliders.
