Help finding a glider by John Bartholomew
Hey all, If anyone can help, it would be hugely appreciated. I am looking for a newer standard class glider. I am 6'2" so some are just too tight. Tried a Discus 2B and was really crammed in. I hear the LS-8 has room or possibly the ASW-24 or 28? Thanks

Upper Midwest Pilots Rocking It by Mike Finegan[_2_]
The weather over the past 8-10 days has been phenomenal, and many pilots are posting some tremendous flights. Just a few mentions: - Paul Remde and copilot flew a 412-mile downwind dash landing in Missouri - Barry Jaeger and Dick Andrews yesterday flew the first-ever 750K triangle flown in MN, and...

Declared 750K in thermals, Eastern US by Tango Eight
Two of us flew a declared 750K mission out of Post Mills VT yesterday and I am now wondering if this was a first in the Eastern US. Previous 750s I know of in Eastern US were all flown using extended ridge runs. T8

Flarm on Naviter Navigator by Wade G
So far I like the beta test Navigator and look forward to tasks being added. Mine is connecting to my S10 via Bluetooth but I am not getting any Flarm targets displayed in Navigator. Anyone else seeing Flarm data coming in or is that on the wish list still for everyone?

Time to hang it up? by John Sinclair[_5_]
It’s been 50 years now since I soloed in gliders at Black Forest, Co in 1971. I have logged over 5000 hours, mostly racing. Only flew one time last year due to Covid-19, but this year I found myself dreading the work involved with hooking up the trailer, driving an hour and a half, assembling,...

Icom A5 headphones wiring? by Moshe Braner
Does anybody know how to connect headphones (listen-only) to an Icom A5 handheld radio? It has a 3.5mm (1/8") jack, but the official thing to plug in there is an adapter for aviation headsets (including mic & PTT), and the plug of that adapter has 4 wires (tip & sleeve and 2 rings, looks like...

What is your headset experience and solution? by John Johnson
I'm having a lot of trouble hearing that 50% portion of radio calls that have marginal modulation, wind noise, mumbling speakers, etc. The other 50% come through load and clear. Tired of needing to close my side vent, crank the volume, and ask for a repeat. I doubt a campaign to get everyone's...

Blinking ICOM charger light by jp
The light on my ICOM A14 charger was blinking orange/green and the charger was not charging the battery. I took the battery off the radio, used a pencil eraser to clean the electrical contacts on the battery - they looked fine to me by the way - and now the charger light no longer blinks and it...
