Trimming quotes - a lost art? It might just be me, but it seems like more and more people are quoting 100% of the previous post(s) in their replies. Please adjust your trim settings. g Thanks.

Call for flight department guide for employee pilots by Jim Carter[_1_]
I need to propose a reinstatement of our company's policy or allowing employees to fly private aircraft on business. I have a copy of our old plan which was closed down because it was too hard to administer given the limited number of pilots that qualified and used it. I'd appreciate those among...

question about radio sidetone by Gary R.
i have an old Stinson with a Cessna 300 nav-com in it. surprisingly, the radio works OK, but i can't hear myself talk on 2 different headsets. but, i can transmit and hear others calling me OK. what gives? is it a function of this early radio that it has no sidetone---or a wiring problem?

Makin' Stencils by RST Engineering
When the big old BlueonBlue182 goes on an overnighter, it is much easier to carry "stuff" in those nylon drawtop bags than in suitcases, boxes, etc.. The drawback is that you can't really tell what is in the bag without pulling it out, opening it up, etc. (Please don't tell me to buy color...

Who pays follow-up by Viperdoc[_4_]
Threw the belt again after twenty minutes in IMC on the way to the avionics shop. Destination was VMC, so elected to continue rather than turn around or land, and the other alternator was handling the load easily. Avionics guy fixed the radar (took three guys around 30 minutes). Belt...

Orlando area airports by dave
I may have an opportunity to fly to Orlando from KLOM this weekend and stay for a few days. Unfortunately, I probably won't be able to stay long enough to get to sun & fun. Any recommendations on airports that have access to rental cars and reasonable parking fees? Thanks Dave M35

CHT Thermocouples by Kyle Boatright
I know of two kinds of CHT thermocouples - the ring type which attach at the spark plug and the probe type which thread into a fitting on the cylinder. Conventional wisdom is that the ring type will show significantly higher temperatures than the probe type. I've seen differences reported as up...

What's Going on Here? by Jay Honeck
In 2004 we experienced our #2 cylinder dropping off-line on take-off from Titusville, FL, resulting in a quick return for landing. No amount of high RPM leaning would clear it, so we de-cowled the engine, took all 12 spark plugs out, cleaned them, put them back in, and all was well. Conditions...
