Sorry Michel, but I have to disagree completely with you. Polish
products (gliders as well, as other stuff) HAS NOT to be cheap,
because they are Polish ! They only have to be competitive...
That's why, there are some not expensive Polish gliders, like Junior
or Puchacz, which have an unbeatable...

Hanger and gliders hit by storm. by
[email protected]
The new-year started with a bang for Goldfields Gliding Club in South
Africa after a storm destroyed the hanger and at least one glider.
Witnesses described the dust storm as being like a tornado (not totally
unheard of in the Free State part of South Africa) and the damage was
extremely localised....

Odp: SZD 56-2 DIANA by

Wellcome Frank !
Finally we can read somebody, who knows something about the subject...
:-)))
A little precision about polish gliders life time policy:
All SZD-gliders had at the beginning 1200 or 1500 hours service life
time. It doesn't mean a lot, because today the Junior (SZD-51-1) has
10 000...

Soaring Product Comparisons Update by
Paul Remde
Hi,
I have recently spent a lot time updating my Cumulus Soaring, Inc. web site.
I try very hard to add value in the form of product comparison tables,
example systems, tips documents, etc. I previously had separate product
comparison and example systems pages but I have now combined them. I...

AOL dumps newsgroups by
MikeYankee
Yesterday AOL flashed a message to all users clicking on newsgroups to the
effect that it would no longer support newsgroups as of "early 2005" (see
below).
When I inquired about this, AOL said this new policy "was based on user
feedback" -- yeah, like we've all been banging down AOL's door asking...

Revisiting declining membership by
snoop
Looking through all the posts from earlier this year, regarding the
sliding membership in our US soaring activities, along with all the
other trailing bad news, i.e. SSA building in need of big repairs,
there is no soaring operation in Hobbs, I'm curious about thoughts of
"what if the SSA became a...

declining membership by
Peter Gadd
I think part of the reason for the decline in soaring
is the rapid expansion of urban areas, I used to fly
back in teh 70s, and there were 3 gliderports within
an hours drive. They have all closed due to the expansion
of suburbia. The closest field with decent soaring
is now over 2 hours away...

Vintage Sailplane spread in Ait & Space Magazine. by
Vaughn
Don't miss the article "Vintage Charmers" in the current Air & Space magazine.
The article is based on the Vintage Sailplane Assn. rally in Tehachapi. Nice
