Any W&B calculators that work in 640x480 on HP4700 PDA? by Bill
I'm looking for a PDA program that will do wifi to allow duats flight plans to be filed where there is a wireless hotspot like an FBO. Probably would work thru DUATs. Should be heavily template driven so that I only have to fill in a few things. Bill Hale

Any W&B calculators that work in 640x480 on HP4700 PDA? by Juan Jimenez
Why not do one yourself? If it's an HP4700 it runs Windows for PDA's and should support both Java and .NET. I can send you some code to get started, at one point I was doing a clone of the one Sporty's sells (the handheld dedicated one with the terrible screen). I don't have time to deal with...

Any way to view Jepp "Text Pages" CD? by [email protected]
Those PDFs are driven by the "TEXT" tab in JeppView. Click on the "TEXT" tab and you will be led to a series of pages that are similar to the NOTAM pages in a Jeppesen paper subscription wrote: As far as I can tell this is part of Flitedeck or Jeppview version 3 or...

Anyone had fuel tank air vent icing up? by Jim Macklin
Vents are not installed in the direct impact slipstream, so ice is not usually a problem in a well designed system. "Peter" wrote in message ... | Is there any known case of the above happening, on an aircraft flying | below...

Anyone had fuel tank air vent icing up? by Bill
It's a problem in Bonanzas & Barons. Heated fuel vents are an option on some Barons. You can tell it's happening by noting the fuel gauges. They go UP! The bladder sucks up from the tank and deflects the outbound level sender when the vents are blocked. You need a plan to be on the ground.

Anyone had fuel tank air vent icing up? by Ronnie
Years back, a local flight school had a Trinidad TB-20. The owner of the flight school told me this story. A rental pilot called him up during a flight and stated that his wings were collapsing. The advice was to get the airplane on the ground as quickly as possible. The cause was blockage of the...

I have emailed it to you as an attachment. (I recently obtained it from JPI, after misplacing the original disks. They seem to answer email about once a week...) -- Jay Honeck Iowa City, IA Pathfinder N56993 www.AlexisParkInn.com "Your Aviation Destination"

Autopilot use during approach by kevmor
I'm curious, why don't they let you use it with the landing lights? If your POH supplement for the autopilot has operating limitations, it isn't legal to use contrary to those limitations. Mine doesn't allow use of the autopilot with the landing lights on, for example. You won't find...

Avmap 4 GPS - anyone knows anything about it??? by Jay Honeck
I've finally located the manuals at http://www.pilotmall.com/page/1/PROD/26/17390 Mary and I own (and LOVE) the AvMap EKP-IIIC, the predecessor to the EKP-IV. We played with the IV extensively at OSH this year, and I fell in love with it. It's smaller, thinner -- yet still has a BIGGER,...
