302 wind calculation by

Does anyone have any inside into how a 302 calculates wind? How good
is it in regards to wind a straight flight with very little turning?
How valuable is it on a ridge? What does it need in order to calculate
probable wind one 360 turn, part of a turn, two turns?
Any information is appreciated.

TR-21 mounting screws by
[email protected]
The TR-21 comes with long (1.25 inch) black flathead screws (4-40).
These screws are the countersink type and do not work well with my
fiberglass instrument panel. They have a small head.
I'm looking for a source for machine screws, 4-40 x 1.25", in a black
non-metallic material. Any suggestions...

Buffing and Waxing Gelcoat question by
Discus 44
Since the season is just getting started, I know this is an older
topic, but I have to ask again about how other glider owners approach
this. My experience is using both "Meguires Products" and finish up
with Harly Wax. I use also the vertical buffing wheels associated
with what is commonly...

Seeking Compaq Aero 1500 Pocket PCs by
Paul Remde
Hi,
I am often asked by customers if I have any good Compaq Aero 1500 (1520,
1530 or 1550) Pocket PCs. They are still popular for use in gliders.
Please let me know if you have one that you will consider selling to me.
I am mainly interested in units with a perfect (or nearly so) screen and a...

OLC statistics by
brianDG303[_2_]
I flew with several much more advanced pilots on Saturday, 4 hours in
100% ridge lift, very turbulent, very rough terrain (North Cascades WA
State), very cool. Afterwords it was pointed out to me that my Rate Of
Climb statistic was 1/2 of everyone else, although I was keeping up
altitude wise. Is...

Contest area for region 9 south by
Matt Herron Jr.
Does anyone know what the official contest area is for Region 9 south
(Tucson, AZ) ? The TP file on WWTPE covers a very large area, and as
I am constructing a map that will be used by many people, I want to
get it right.
Thanks,
Matt Herron

More restrictions for "experimental" by

Two local pilots had FAA ramp inspections last Friday and one other,
after declining to be inspected, had a discussion with an inspector.
It appears that the local FSDO is taking the position that NO flight

certificate, even...
