Sad day at my home airport DC-3's Last "Flight" by
Chris Jella[_2_]
Earlier this week we had an F1 tornado visit the airport. It missed the
buildings (and my hangar!), but went across the south side of the airport
where 4 C-47's have been rotting since their retirement in the late 1980's.
Airport is VIH Rolla National Airport (former Vichy Army Airfield)...

BUFFs - index.jpg (1/1) [49K] by
Netko
I thought these might be of interest here - a fairly arbitrary
selection of USAF pictures of B-52s for no particular reason other
than that I'd drawn them togther.
You may have seen all, some or none of them before.

Today at Oshkosh followup by
Just Plane Noise[_2_]
Ah, innocent that I am (and VERY infrequent poster), I was unware that
the pointless discussion du jour (or du wahetever) was yEnc. First, I
never even open anything in this group that seems too small to be a
pic, so I was unaware of the discussion in the first place--that's why

Another Curious Question for the Group by
shiver
So I'm watching TV last night.
They are showing a scale model of a high rise building that was being
tested for it's ability to withstand wind.
Then they show an engine from a Lancaster being fired up to produce the
wind.
On a stand, complete with Lanc nacelle, and contra rotating props.
