Cessna 150 Long Range Fuel Tank Install by Ted Timmons
I have a 1975 Cessna 150 Aerobat. I want to replace the standard 26 gal (13 per side) fuel tanks with the optional 38 gal (19 per side) long range fuel tanks. Can anyone tell me where I can have this done and the approximate cost.

Cessna 150 Price Outlook by Charles Talleyrand
Anyone want to guess the medium term price trends for a C-150? By medium term I mean the next five-ish years. My guess would be "more of the same" meaning increases of a few percent a year with mild year-to-year variations. The only effects I can see are whatever's left of the upward...

Cessna 150 vs 152 by Marty from Sunny Florida
From what I've read on this NG, the Lycoming engine is a better choice in terms of hours to Major Overhaul. A Continental engine with Millenium cylinders makes the engine less likely to fail. All things equal, including the price, what is considered a better buy, the 150 or 152? Presume they're one...

Cessna 150 with STOL comments requested by wise purchaser
Greetings!!! I hope that I am not becomming a bother to the group but I have a question: I have my own airstrip. it's a 20 foot wide 1350 foot long crusher run gravel runway. I had the runway built using Driveway fiber mat (fabric) ( cow carpet) laid down on the bare dirt, then Crusher run...

Cessna 150-152 club forum crisis by avqpilot
As a member of the 150-152 Club I'm going through withdrawals now that the plug has been pulled on the Yahoo forum. I may not have posted very much there but I guess I do check in to read what's new every other day or so. I sincerely hope that it's back up and running soon with no loss of data...

Cessna 152 by Jay
I'm taking my PPL and trying to locate a decent/depedable 152 to purchase rather than keep renting. Also how many hours on the TTAF time is too many before problems arise. It seems most flight schools are selling around 9k-10k hours? Any 152 sellers out there? Thanks Jay Nashville TN

Cessna 172 'eyebrow' install by Ben Smith
We're installing a new 'eyebrow' over the panel in our C172M. (From Planeplastics). For anyone who has installed one of these before, what is a recommended adhesive to secure the foreward end of the plastic eyebrow unit to the top of the 'dashboard'. We have it snipped and trimmed out to...

Cessna 172 Electrical Problem by Chick Urick
The landing light in my 1979 Cessna 172N keeps blowing out. I have replaced it 3 time and rarely use it. The past bulb hasn't been lighted more than 3 minutes, max. I preflight and it is fine, went to land - dark, no light. Perhaps a lose connection (I'll) check again or possible a surge in the...

Cessna 172 Empty CGs by [email protected]
I'm working with a Cessna 172A, which is the '59 model. It has a full panel with a pair of KX170s, and an ADF. It has been modified with the 0-300D engine which supports a vacuum pump. This is the 6 cylinder engine with Millenium cylinders. I don't think they add much weight -- but it would be...

Cessna 172 F Weight and Balance by [email protected]
My partners and I recently purchased a 1965 Cessna 172F. The POH has weight and balance data that you would expect, except that it focuses on moment only, gives no arm figure. Usually no big deal. BUT, we recently bought a 396 and it will do the weight and balance data for you if you enter the arm...

Cessna 172 flap skin repair by Steve
During the annual of my 1963 Cessna 172D the A&P discovered a one inch long crack originating from the rear rivet line on both one flap and elevator. He says there is a Cessna approved repair procedure to replace a portion of the skin and no need to replace the whole part. Can someone direct me to...

Cessna 172 fuel selector by Ross
I am in the throws of my annual on the aircraft. This year I have several things needing fixing and one is the leaky fuel selector. Well, let me tell you that is no easy job. I had to take a lot of the plane apart to get to it. What was Cessna thinking when they designed the placement of the...

Cessna 172 gear warning by Paul Kassel
Flying my RG I found recently that the gear up warning only will work while I am on Com 1 and not Com 2, this is something new and no mechanic or instrument shop at KSEE seems to know why. Any ideas beside my lazy ass looking in my POH?

Cessna 172 Oil Temp by Darrel Toepfer
Gary Wilcox wrote: I have a 1964 Cessna 172 (Continental 0300D) and the oil temp seems to be running higher than I remember from last summer. Its still in the green but only a needles width below the red-line. What is normal? Conditions during the latest flight were hot and humid - temp at...

Cessna 172 upkeep by redman
I am currently taking flying lessons to get my private license. I've been thinking about buying a 172 sometime after I get my license. Looking for some input on a ballpark amount of the annual upkeep. How much does an annual cost? How much does the 100 hr. inspection cost? I realize that if...

Cessna 172 with Wild Fuel Gauge Needle by jls
Anybody know the reason for this? The needle on the pilot's side is stable, but the needle on the co-pilot side swings wildly, especially when the tank is full. A float moves the needle around the dial. Why doesn't it stay still and be good like its brother?
