IFR Flight Plan question by Snowbird
"Bob Gardner" wrote in message ... Afterthoughts. If you had descended below radar coverage, the correct ATC transmission would have been "Radar contact lost," not "Radar service terminated," and you would have still been IFR. A...

Enroute chart question.. by chris priest
Dennis wrote: I could probably look this one up, but what altitude does the "High Altitude Enroute chart" take effect? During Oshkosh, one of the most often asked questions was if we had L charts on our website.. So today, I flew down to Sporty's and picked up the entire 14 chart set...

Columns by a Canadian centre controller by David Megginson
I have mixed feelings about Don Brown's columns on AvWeb -- sometimes I learn from them, and sometimes they're just the same rants rehashed. Today, I stumbled by accident on a series of online columns by a Michael Oxner, a private pilot who works as a Canadian ACC controller at Moncton Centre...

Cessna 182T w. G-1000 pirep by C J Campbell
OK, I know I said I would not get to fly this plane until tomorrow, but it arrived early and so I took a flight. This is a new turbocharged Cessna T182T. For those that have not seen the 182T (either turbo or normal, introduced last year), you might be a little startled the first time you take a...

Best Headset? by Hankal
Question to all who use Lightspeed headsets. I have been using Avcom headsets for the last 4 years. Only complaint is the pressure on the ears, even with GEL cups. How do you like Lightspeed? Canadian holding procedures by Derrick Early
What are the holding procedures in Canada? On the approach plates, they say something like "Climb to 1900 on track of 297 deg. LEFT turn to 2T NDB." However, they don't show any holding pattern. Do they expect you to enter a hold at the beckon? What radial do you use?
