What Kit takes a TCM IO-240 by
Bob
What kit takes a TCM IO-240?
We have this 240 hanging around and we can't sell it but we could stick
in something and fly it.
So what would be a good platform to hang this 240 on?
Should have a fast build kit available. Fixed gear, reasonable
landing/stall speed. 2 seater is a must, Tandem or...

Old Plans, New Part Numbers by
[email protected]
I am working with 40 year old plans that call out AN365-6 Nuts.
Since they are used in conjunction with AN6 Bolts (24 of them) to
attach the main spars together, I am assuming they are locknuts.
Is the AN363-624 Metal Lock Nut a good match or good substitution?
Gotta have something to hold 49 feet...

How do the big boys dimple? by
larsen-tools
It seems that they would use something other than "C-frames" with dimple die
sets and a dead blow mallet.

Wet vs Dry Vacuum Pump by
Fastglasair
I am curious of opinions out there. I currently have a wet Vacuum pump on my
Glasair I-RG. I am considering adding an M-20 vacuum pump oil seperator just
for the vacuum pump since I also have a Christen inverted oil system seperator
which takes care of the Crankcase breather. I am also considering...

Jabiru Engines and Props by
Bushmaster Guy
Guys;
Anyone have experience with the Jabiru 2200?
My big concerns a 1) putting one on a larger aircraft but not being able
to pull it with the little prop. Anyone know what the max prop diameter is
for a 2200?
2) How is the relaibility and engine service support?

ELECTRO-PLATING by
Chuck
I used to do a lot of plating (about 40 years ago) on various parts to
prevent oxidation. I would now like to
chrome or silver-plate some components on my ultra-light engine. Please
forgive an Old Mans memory, but
I have forgotten what kind of acid to use in the plating solution. I would
sure...

EZ-Akro? by
Shin Gou
Hi,
I have no aeronautical engineering knowledge, maybe that's why I am so
stupid to ask this question. The other day when I read some Long-EZ
tech info and checked out a local EZ project, I know EZ's wing can
easily sustain over 6G loading or much more though no formal stress
test was done, and...

Fair price on used Rotax 447? by
Nunya
Hi Folks,
There's a used Rotax 447, I believe a Prov 8, available for sale in my
ultralight club. It has 450hours on it. It was running perfectly when it
was removed and stored in a plastic bin 6 months ago. It was replaced with
a Rotax 503. It's a pull start, free air version with dual carbs,...

SAA vs. EAA by
Smitty
Just curious as to impressions of the SAA. I recently recieved a
letter from the EAA soliciting donations signed by Rutan and Melville
with a postcard of SS1. While I don't mean to belittle the
achievements of either of these 2 gentlemen, I do find it disturbing
that the EAA has chosen to solicit...

Fair price for used 912ULS? by
Bellsouth News Server
Greetings,
I'm thinking seriously about selling the 912S that came on the Kolb
SlingShot I bought, but I have no idea what a fair price would be. It's
about 5 years old, with about 230 hours on it, and would sell with the Titan
exhaust, oil tank, oil cooler, radiator, throttle and choke linkages,...

Well, Charter's new news group server crashed around 3:30 AM on the

too, it only found 2 new posts on RAH for the past two days. You sure
must have had a quiet period.
Trying to post through Google is a royal pain. It just kept...
