Beyond the F-2, isn't there anything they have planned? I would have thought the F-2 project was a springboard for a plane of their own. I did not know they had a stake in the JSF. It would make sense in light of the carriers ... oppz i mean destroyers-carrying-planes they have planned.

Its probably helicopters rather than fixed wing planes that are involved. Mostly Blackhawks & Super Cobras i'm guessing.
