Hi! I am going on a vacation in my plane in a couple of weeks down Europe, and was wondering if there is a web site anywere with current fuel prices at different airports. It would be nice if it was sorted by country.

More About Leaning During Climb by Dan Luke
"John" wrote: So, what is magic about the 1350 degree sea-level full rich takeoff temp? Can anyone suggest any good reasons why it is not equally safe to lean to operate at the 1450 degree conditon during climb? The EGT isn't what matters; it's the CHT's that are important. As long as they...

Vertical Card Compass compatible with "V" brace? by Jeff P
I have a 172XP with a float kit "V" brace on the glare shield. Does anyone have any experience with mounting a vertical card compass next to hunks of steel tubing? Do you think I have any hope of being able to calibrate here?

The beauty of GA by Gene Seibel
Had a great flight over the weekend that really demonstrated the utility of general aviation. We left St. Louis Regional Airport in the Cherokee at 5 pm on July 3rd. Spent the night in southwest Missouri, where we picked up my daughter and on the 4th flew on to central Kansas. There we dropped off...

Cirrus vs Mooney by Charles Talleyrand
As I understand it, a Cirrus has a much more roomy cabin, 100 lbs higher useful load, no retractable landing gear to maintain, is 10 kts slower, and costs $100,000 less. Why would anyone buy a Mooney? Heck, a new Cirrus costs less than a recently used Mooney. Who here would pick a two year old...

Priming the engine and Mag check questions by JDupre5762
A person told me it is better to push the primer slowly rather then quick shots. Slower is better on pulling out the primer as this allows the primer cylinder to draw in all the fuel it can take. Pushing the charge in quickly is probably best as the velocity may help in atomizing the...
