Marfa Landmark Dedication by
Kevin Christner
Does anyone have any pictures, videos, or transcripts from the Marfa
event held yesterday? Last year I wrote my Senior Honors Thesis on
Marfa 69&70 using Joe Lincolns original notes courtesy of Peter Smith
at the NSM. I would like to update it with material from this event
and then release it...

Cambridge data port pins by
Andy[_1_]
Can someone please point me to the connector pin specifications for
the cannon D connectors on the 302 and the mode 25 GPS NAV. I'd
like to find out if the Cannon D sub connector on the 302 has the same
pin specification as the GPS NAV. I could not find the info in my
manuals or on the...

gas struts by
Phillip LaBerge
I have the original Comet trailer that came with my ASW-20A and the
original gas struts on the trailer. Anyone know where to get
replacement struts (the clamshell is sagging now) without having to
take out a loan to buy new ones from Germany?

Looking for two British pilots who towed across Atlantic 65 years ago by
Dave Newill
Any of our British friends know if either R G Seyes or F M Gobeil are
still around? 65 years ago in June, they piloted a Troop / Cargo
glider from Montreal Canada to Preswick Scotland as an experiment in
shipping these D-Day Silent Wings machines from the USA to UK.
Apparently the 6-7 hours ( per...

Cherokee Kid Congratulations by
[email protected]
Our own, Tony Condon, aka The Cherokee Kid today passed his initial
Part 135 checkride with the FAA flying the Cessna 421. For
comparison, the 421 weighs approximately 10 times more than the
Cherokee II, lands faster than the Cherokee's redline, and has two 375
hp engines for self launch...

WinPilot ADV & PRO 9.0b Flarm by
Richard[_1_]
Unfortunately the major glider equipment markets are not in the US. I
believe that WinPilot 9.0b complies with the majority of the contest
rules in the world although not in the US. But I may be wrong.
I guess a couple of pilots could install Flarm in their gliders in the
US, team fly and cheat,...

Cobra trailer lift struts for clamshell top by
[email protected]
I have a 2002 glasstop cobra and I have a lift strut (nitrogen
spring?) that just failed on me.
It is very difficult to lift the clamshell with even just one failed
strut.
Is there anyone in the US that might have these in stock?
If anyone has replaced theirs with a US made strut I would also...

Handheld radio by

support operations. No special features needed beyond the basic
transciever functions, as far as I know.

Last weekend we signed her up as a member. She has also brought along
another teenage girl who will sign up this weekend. At first I thought
