Battery Requirements by
jgarner
I'm changing the battery in my SNS-8 Hiperlight and was wondering what I
should use. The engine is a Rotax 447. Would a lead acid battery be OK?

BBS??? Weekly Chat??? Anybody up for it??? by
Jim Weir
Hey, gang...
Well, the Avionics BBS over on Yahoo was a spectacular failure. We had five
posts in six months and we just let the board go away. There was a problem,
though, that even as the administrator I found getting TO the board to be a
royal pain in the tush.
However, I get 8-10 posts a...

BD- LSA by
Griff
I sent an email to BedeCorp, not really expecting a reply, but
was pleasantly surprised by a response. I asked if somewhere between
the BD-4, and the BD-6, a LSA variant might be lie? Jim Bede's answer
is that he hoped to have a new LSA at Oshkosh. I was hoping it was a
planbuilt since the -4,and-6...

BD-4 Landing Gear Rubbers by
smjmitchell
I have what I hope is a simple question on the BD-4 landing gear.
On my BD-4 plans the rudder donuts that are called out for the main and nose
gears are identified as a Lord Mount (J-11968-5). There is three of these
required for each aircraft, one for each leg.
My question is can you still buy...

BD-4. wings on a V-6 STOL? by
Jim Rodgers
I am building a V-6 STOL (starts with a tri-pacer, wings and fuselage
stretched, and powered by Ford V-6; designed by Dave Blanton)
It looks as though the gross weights are similiar to a BD-4. How feasible
would it be to mount the BD-4 center spar in the tri-pacer to allow BD-4
folding wings?...

BD-5 historical questions by
Maury Markowitz
I'm writing a general Wikipedia article on the BD-5 (rewriting
actually) and I'm trying to re-create the story. My interest is
primarily from a "Popular someting" or "something Mechanics" magazine
(currently at my parents house, I'll see if I can get it over the
holidays - I don't think it was...

BD-5 or similar? by
Mark Zivley
I've been to the bd-micro web site. I'm not really that serious about starting
on that sort of a project, but it sure looks like fun. Just wondering if there
are any other kits out there which are mostly aluminum and perhaps a bit more
forgiving in the air.
Thanks,
Mark

BD5 question by
Stealth Pilot
was the undercarriage design for the BD5 a competent design?
I know all about the deficiencies in the 5 (I even still got the info
pack :-) ) but in all the kerfuffel I've never heard a single bad word
about Jim's undercarriage design.
The design buzzing around in my head at the moment would work...

BD5-B by
Regnirps
So, would I have to be insane to buy a complete BD5-B kit? I still remember the
outrageous performance claims when the ads first appeared.
What do people use for engines? (I think I can lay my hands on a Czech MiG APU
and I have a buddy who is an expert on the Formula Mazda engines).
