Garmin 96 and onlinecontest? by
DBn
Is it possible to use this device with some of approved software which
generate igc files (g7towin for example) for online contest?
I mean, is it possible to use GPS device without barrometric altimeter
instead of approved GNSS flight logger? I couldn't find the answer on the
OLC web pages...

Concorde/Fast ships and gas guzzling cars by
Derek Copeland
Hi Ian,
I have already explained that mistake to 'Welsh' Druid.
I'm not really into Ships, but they are apparently
catamarans and at least twice as fast as the bog standard,
monohull, Ro-Ro car ferries.
Can I also admit to typing 'Chrysler' when I meant
'Chevrolet' in my piece on General Motors...

Airthug
Im looking to buy a small (13.5') speed boat on a trailer from
Pensacola, Fl.. and need it towed west as far as possible.
ideally SF Bay.
The boat weighs 560lbs, and only 13.5 feet in length so it's a
light tow, even for a small car.

Cambridge Model 20 to OLC by
Bubba
FYI...
For several days now I have been trying to get a good log posted to OLC.
Part of this process involved running a program "cai2igc.exe". I kept
getting "Runtime error 200". This was because the cpu was too fast.
Reran it on an old laptop and it worked fine. Just wanted to pass this
along...

Concorde.... by
Derek Copeland
Holyhead to either Dublin or Dun Laghoire (I'm not
sure which). It passed us going in the opposite direction
last time we took we took the snail ferry, which was
last Christmas. Actually I think it may be a Catamaran,
but it's quite fast.

Owain, I normally write my pieces first thing in the
morning, during my lunch break or after work, and I
can type quite quickly, so they do not detract from
my work. I am quite a bit bit older than you and probably
better qualified (although I don't know what profession
you are in).
I don't like...
