Dave
Anyone have experience using a single Comant CI-121 to feed to COM
radios with the Comant CI-601 diplexor?
And, anyone have experience feeding a GPS and COM with the Comant

I have 3 antennas on the roof of the fuselage (COM1, COM2, GPS). It's
going into the paint shop soon, so...

Bargin tcas alert by
Dave
About a week ago I got a small collision prevention device called
trafficscope micro. It seems to work really well in areas of
congested airspace, and places I most frequent. It is not cheap
($200) but it works well for the intended purpose. The best price I
got was from talking to my local...

GNS430 computer link by
Dave
Is it possible to do flight planning on my desktop computer and then
upload it to my GNS430? I can't find the adaptor that I would need (or
do I need to get a card and card-reader to transfer the information)?
Also it is possible to use the same method to enter the checklists on
the 430, or do I...

GPS ext power plugs by
Dave Martindale
(Ben Jackson) writes:
The proprietary 4-pin connector that Garmin uses on most (all?) of its
GPSs are the same. Serial RX/TX, and ground/power.
Actually, there are several styles.
The larger marine and aviation units tend to use that round plug. There
are actually two variants of...

Winglets not on some aircraft? by
DaveC
On a recent trip from USA to Asia I saw a few modern, new, large multiengine
jet airliners that had no winglets.
I was under the impression that these were standard design items for all
large aircraft wings.
What design criteria would determine that winglets were not to be used on the
wings...
