what features are in the next generation of flight computers by
Peter
I've been daydreaming about flight computers...
Not the ones we have now, but the next generation... I haven't seen any
significant step changes in the functions the current generation
provide...
So I started day dreaming... and I came up with a wish-list, (now some of
these are obviously...

Sharing a thermal by
Hal
Still learning to benefit from thermalling with another glider and so
far have not realized the benefits. If you are opposite another
glider and observing your progress in relationship to the other glider
how do you adjust your path if you see the other glider in better
lift? I seem to have the...

Cobra trailer lift struts for clamshell top by
[email protected]
I have a 2002 glasstop cobra and I have a lift strut (nitrogen
spring?) that just failed on me.
It is very difficult to lift the clamshell with even just one failed
strut.
Is there anyone in the US that might have these in stock?
If anyone has replaced theirs with a US made strut I would also...

Solo 2350D won't start by
BillT
Our Duo's turbo has suddenly stopped working. It spins up ok at 55Kt when decompressed & continues windmilling when the decompression is released. The engine starts after 2 - 3 seconds, runs for 2 seconds then cuts out. After 1 - 2 seconds it starts again & the sequence is repeated. It's as if the...

SN10 Simple Glide Calculator Page questions by
Frank
Hi,
I've been enjoying my SN10B for several years now and really love it.
Recently I have been trying to use the Simple Glide Calculator (SGC)
page to do side calculations during competitions (I used to do this
with my LS4 prayer wheel but gave it to a pilot that had no computer at
all - tried to...

Hi !
The european regulation precise that "gliders with a structural mass
of less than 80 kg when single seater or 100 kg when two seater,
including those which are foot launched" shall stay under national
responsibility, so to say, out of EASA.
Could someone tell me what are Regulations for...

SeeYou by
Waveguru
As soon as my subscription runs out, the program starts acting up. This really ****es me off. I paid for the program and the fact that they sabotage it to get you to purchase the upgrade is very disappointing. If I don't want the "improvements", the program that I paid for should still work. In my...

Soaring pants. Yes, pants. by
Auxvache
I have a headache after shopping online for new pants to wear in the cockpit. R.A.S. never lets me down, so...
Anyone know which company makes lightweight cargo pants that have zippered front/side pockets (so the cell phone stays in if you bail out), and a zippered fly (relief system-friendly)? ...

Winter 57mm Altimeter by
Ventus2NZ
I have just had my Winter 57mm altimeter fail it's instrument check.
From what I can ascertain, this is not all that uncommon. Does anyone
have any ideas or suggestions of a suitable 2-1/4" alternative.

How does Winscore calculate finish altitude? by
kirk.stant
A question: How does Winscore calculate finish altitude on a cylinder
finish? I assume it is based on the logger's pressure altitude
reading for the closest logger fix after crossing the finish line, but
how is that altitude adjusted for the local altimeter setting? Does
it compare the...
