1st Flight Today 5:00 pm MST by
Fastglasair
I made the 1st flight today of my Glasair G1-RG. I can't believe it has no roll
tendencies or other rigging issues at all it flies hands off. I flew for 1/2
hour but the landing was not great, something to work on!! I started building
19 years ago this coming May. It climbs like crazy, Home sick...

Stearman in Rogue's Gallery by
Badwater Bill
I wanted to set the record straight. I didn't own that Stearman in
the photo. I just remember flying in it with O'ring. We had a buddy
who owned it. Our buddy was a great guy but a marginal pilot. O'ring
helped him come up to speed in that airplane. In fact I shot the
photo that is on the...

kubota alternators by
Philippe Vessaire
Hello,
Many people know this permanent magnet alternator
I read different things about the maxi current it may deliver.
Spruce say 12A for the model 200G P/N 07-06575
I read 10A to 15A possible.
My A65 drive it at 6000rpm (2000 rpm for the engine).
What current may I expect from?

experimental engine-subaru by
Cautious
Does anyone have any advice concerning Subaru 6cyl engines? I understand
that the SOHC is preferred because of weight and simplicity, but I don't
know what year/model cars these were in. I have heard that the 6 cyls are
2.7L and 3.3L but can't find much more info; any comment would be
apreciated....

Problem with homebuild: the manual by
MINIWI
Who has got problems with a homebuild caused by a bad or uncomplete manual?
I am going to attend the build of RV-7 and RV-9. During the work I'll take
pictures and write down tricks and hints, not found in the manual.
What's missing in a manual naturally, not just in van's?

'58 Complementary Triumph TR3 Motorcar by
Jim Weir
My lady has just informed me that she would consider a complementary Triumph TR3
to our classic '58 Cessna 182 a good idea. She's willing to cash in her old
Chevy on the Triumph...oil leaks and all...for a TR-3 of that era.
Anybody got a lead on one of those old rascals?

Fuel Compatability of PVC ? CPVC ? by
Tjeerd
I am building leading edge fiberglass tanks. I need
to insert a 3/8" I.D. tube about 8 ft long in which to insert the fuel
level probe. I have concerns about the long term effects of fuel on
the type of tubing I see in the plumbing/electrical dept in a the "Big
Box" stores. Will this type of...

Corrosion Protection on Alluminum Sheet Aircraft? by
DL152279546231
I have been looking at Zenair's Ch 701 STOL and nowhere have I seen any mention
of treating the inside of the sheet alluminum for corrosion protection. I would
have thought spraypainting with green (zincoxide?) paint woudld have been
necessary
