ASK-21 and Grob 103 cockpit ballast weights by
kirk.stant
Our club (St Louis Soaring Association) is looking for a set of
factory ASK-21 ballast weights, the triangular lead plates with a long
pin that screws into a fitting under the pilots knees. We recently
acquired an older ASK-21 and it didn't come with any.
Ditto a set of the factory Grob 103...

FAA publication Glider Flying Handbook by
Jim Phoenix
I just received a copy of the FAA publication titled "Glider Flying
Handbook" - publication number FAA-H-8083-13. Updated in 2003. Appears
to have some very current photographs and illustrations, but I haven't
read it yet.
I'm surprised to see things such as the Cambridge flight computer
described...

Clear Vision Panels by
Nyal Williams[_2_]
Palmer mentions these as being available from an automotive firm in Canada.
Apparently the firm is no longer in existence. Anyone know a source?

Nose release for a Ventus B by
dcavagnaro%[email protected]
Even though my manual refers to both a nose and CG release, my Ventus only came with a CG. I am thinking of having a E85 TOST release installed for safer towing. Has anyone added a nose release to a previously CG release glider?

Also has anyone been able to climb up the sunny side of a cumulus
cloud? Read somewhere that one famous glider pilot did this and...

Is anyone exploring this device.

Not sure how to get one, since they're only being sold in the Korean

Dreaming of a BETTER PowerFLARM antenna by
[email protected]
I hold the PowerFLARM supplied center fed vertical dipole antenna in the same likeness to Apple providing a 6V HD "brick" lantern battery to power a new Apple watch. IMO, the CFVDA is distracting, cumbersome, and most unsightly. Surprisingly, USA users have accepted them and happily butcher glare...

Duo Discus canopy problems by
David Starer
I recently had the alarming experience of the canopy coming nearly fully
open on a Duo Discus shortly after take-off on aerotow. Both my student (who
was flying the glider at the time) and I grabbed the handles when the canopy
was about 45 degrees open and managed to close it. However all efforts...
