Gear Warning by
Gordon Schubert
I had gotten an almost brand new (12 hrs) Genesis 2.
My experience with retractable landing gear was somewhat
limited. At the end of my sixth flight I crossed the
field to check on traffic and turned into the pattern.
I announced my downwind and started my landing checklist.
Just as was about to...

Ease of attaching and detaching by
Steve Leonard
Not meaning to bag on them, but I have NEVER been around
an Astir of any kind that went together easily. I
am not a real fan of the 'twist to lock' front and
rear fittings. Someone, please tell me they can go
easy!
Of the rest, they can all be good. Get the seller
to walk you through assembling...

Minden Vote - Results by

The vote count is in for the East vs West side controversy, and club
members have voted overwhelmingly (98% in favor) for the East side
plan.
Although the final vote does not reflect it, a great amount of
discussion has gone on, and participation has been at an all time high.

Refinish Glider in Europe by
Ray Lovinggood
Would anyone consider shipping their glider with mine
to Europe and evenly split the shipping cost?
It appears that a refinish in Poland, and probably
Slovenia, can be done less expensively than here in
the US. It is less expensive if only more than one
glider can be placed in a shipping...

Hello Ray,
You are considering alot of effort and funding to transport
two ways for a refurbish of your Ls1c abroad.

Wanted: Motorglider Airworthy,Damaged,Parts,Kit or plans by
Jim Culp
Hello Kevin,
For touring motorglider,
I urge you to consider the Xenos motorglider

It is not a four thousand dollar machine, but you
shall get a good product for your money and you shall
add value by your manufacturing of it.

Ease of attaching and detaching by
Mika Koski
Hi,
the sailplanes below are from www.segelflug.de and ones you can buy
with a (relatively) small amount of money, but they still are suitable
for crosscountry (L/D = 35). The only plane among these I'm familiar
with is LS 4 controls-non-automatic-version so it will be kind of
benchmark for other...
