Aerospace Logic Fuel Gauge by Scott G.
Does anyone have any information whether Aerospace Logic's Fuel Gauge is a primary gauge replacement, or if the original fuel gauge would still need to be kept in the airplane? Application would be a Cessna 206. Thank you, Scott G

Aerospace Logic Volt/Ammeter by [email protected]
Intermittent problem with an Aerospace Logic VA-100 Volt & Amp indicator. Volt side works at all times and is accurate, amp side works properly occasionally but more often than not displays -0.0 amps. When it does work it indicates charges and discharges properly. Unit supposedly shipped with a...

AeroStar Fuel system? by Al G[_1_]
Could someone fill me in on the Aerostar fuel system? The one in question is a 602P. IIRC, Ted Smith designed it as a "Leave it alone and burn all the fuel in the airplane" type system. But wasn't there a lawsuit over one years ago? Al G

After an annual? by Paul Tomblin
When you pick up your plane after an annual, is there any special things you do? I'm picking up the club's Lance after its annual today, and flying it back from Batavia NY to Rochester NY (about a 25 minute flight). Do you do any special pre-flight or flight check? I was planning to climb up over...

AGM Batteries by Dave Anderer
Any current thoughts on AGM batteries? I tried a Concorde 35AXC about 8 years ago. It lasted about 30 months for me. Wet batteries seem to last around 4 years. However, there was some corrosion damage from the wet battery last annual, and so I'm rethinking the AGM option. I might be willing...

AI pitch bounce by Mike Noel
I just noticed today a tendency for my vacuum AI to vibrate a few millimeters in its pitch axis occasionally, then the movement damps out. The roll and pitch indication seem to be OK, and the vacuum DG is working fine. The vacuum guage is at 5.0, right where it belongs. I'm wondering if this is...

AI sometimes slow to come up to speed by Peter R.[_2_]
My attitude indicator was last replaced back in November 2006 with a Mid-Continent overhauled unit. Since then I have flown on average twice every single week of flights an hour or less in duration. Thus, there are about 180 hours or so on this air-driven AI but it is out of warranty. Around ten...

AI/DG Overhaul shops by [email protected]
Hey all. I posted a week or so ago about an AI that had gone TU. I'm figuring to do a complete vacuum system overhaul on my Cherokee and was looking for suggestions on places to have gyros redone. I've talked with Kelly instruments, and they seem to be relatively inexpensive and have high...

Air compressor for hangar by Martin Kosina
Hi, I am thinking about getting a small air compressor for my hangar, any suggestions what to look for (dry vs wet pump, gal. capacity, CFM rating, etc.). I expect light, occasional use - tire & strut inflation, some drilling, fiberglass grinding, small-scale painting (fairing repair, etc.) and...

Air Compressor Horsepower/Wattage/Amperage by RST Engineering
I thought I had this compressor power thing down to a pretty good science until they started screwing around with "rated watts" and "peak power" and all that crap that makes their compressor look really good until you go to use it. Back when we were using "real" horsepower I used a figure of...

Air Gizmo panel mount for GPSMAP 196/296/396 by Brock Boss
Anyone out there have an Air Gizmo panel mount for their portable GPS device? I've been searching high and low for official word on whether or not such an installation would require a field approval. I've heard yes and no from various sources, including some on this group. I ran across this tonight...

Air Gizmos GPS panel mounts by Brock Boss
We've recently purchased one of the Air Gizmos mounts for our Garmin 296. I've seen it installed in another Cessna and spoken with the owner who says no field approval is needed for this product. Our A&P, who is a stickler for the rules(and rightly so if you ask me), says this product requires a...

Air Shares Elite and Cirrus Sr22 by Teranews \(Daily\)
Is anyone familiar with Airshares Elite? They sell 1/8 shares of a Cirrus SR22. You basically buy 1/8 of the plane and pay for fuel, and then pay a management fee of $750/month to cover insurance, hanger, all maintenance (including engine/prop overhaul), cleaning and washing the plane, and...
