Aero Retrieval Etiquette by
Ray Lovinggood
Question: At what point should the glider pilot release
from the aero retrieve?
I, not wanting to land out more than once on any given
day, prefer to consider the tow pilot and make sure
HE or SHE is within gliding distance of the target
airport before releasing.
Just wondering what the proper...

The LS8b has a carbon fuse to allow the extra weight of the turbo engine.
Also made as a pure glider with the turbo as a later option. The LS8a has
the glass fuse.

Parts Needed by
Jim Phoenix
The 2-22 rudder is perfectly and physically identical to a 1-26 round tail
rudder. They may even be the same part number. I would suspect the vertical
is the same as well, but I have not personally verified the verticals.

Declaring a free distance fight by
Basil Fairston
Rules for the UK750km diploma are the same as for diamond distance (with the
exception of the distance of course) so you can use 3 TPs declared before
flight and turned in any order or not at all and finish anywhere. (In Laws
and Rules).
Free distance and free out and return are only for records. ...
