Where to advertise ship for European Market? by
Jeremy Zawodny
After waiting a year or so for the folks at Centrair to remove their
collective heads for their a$$es (I'm not bitter), we've decided to sell
the first of our 101As at a discount and export it to a country that can
actually fly it.
I'd appreciate pointers to on-line forums and/or a European...

Wedekind Safety Sleeves by
ContestID67
I uploaded the pictures of my installation of Wedekind safety
sleeves. These go on L'Hotelier fittings and are much easier to use
than any other method.

NZ Grand Prix wheels wobbling? by
[email protected]
Rumour has it that the chief promotor of the 2007 World Grand Prix in
New Zealand has disappeared (with several debts owing...). The
organisers are apparently scrambling (very quietly so that the rest of
the world does not know) to find a replacement or re-organise the
event.
I wonder how it will...

Libelle Wings by
Thermaler
Is there any problem with 201 Libelle wings on gliders with early
serial numbers? I have heard that the earliest models had balsa cores
and they should be avoided. If so, at what serial number did the
switch from balsa occur? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Coaxing The OLC To Display Flights by
P. Corbett
I have also noted the OLC problem where, on occasion, the date will not
change back to the previous day or before. Here is what I find seems to
work... Click on the "Soaring" tab and select the OLC Classic Daily
Score in the dropdown. This basically reloads the same page. Then click
on the...

ICOM battery replacement question by
Martin Gregorie
I have a hand held ICOM IC-A3E with a throughly dead battery pack.
In the past I've revived similar packs (e.g. on an HP-25 calculator) by
cracking into the plastic shell of the pack and replacing the cells,
which are usually AA size NiCds. Doing this is normally vastly less
expensive than...

Old Soaring Magazines by
ginny
Hello,
I'm the daughter of a former sailplane pilot, Mac Snyder from Northern
California. Mac is about 85 and no longer active, however he would
like to give his collection of Soaring Magazine (from about 1957-85)
away where it might be enjoyed. I'll check back.

Final Glide Calculation over Obstacle by
[email protected]
I would like to use the Cambridge 302 and 303 but have questions:
1- does it calculate the glide path above obstacles, e.g. a mountain
is in the way: does the CAI 302/303 see the path going through the
rocks or does it see that there is a challenge?
2- is there a possibility to see the...
