What sunglasses are best for flying gliders? by Jonathan Foster
A couple of weeks ago I purchased a fairly cheap pair of sunglasses. When I put them on in my glider all of my instruments magically went black. Unbeknownst to me, the lenses are polarized. Are there any sunglasses that seem to work really well for flying?

Compact 110 details and Q's by [email protected]
a 110 lb. 16:1 L/D foot launched ultralight was surpassed long ago by flex wing hang gliders at ~70 lbs. Why bother?

Recommendations for simple shared online syndicate logbook by [email protected]
The syndicate I'm part of need to log flights and hours for the aircraft we own. We're currently using a spreadsheet which works but is a bit clunky. Does anyone know of any software that would allow logging of time against a single aircraft with shared access to the logs? The better and simpler...

T35 GelCoat by Bojack J4
Anyone know where I can get some of the T35 gelcoat here in the states that DG finished my LS-10 with? I am told there are alternatives but would really rather use the original stuff if I could get it. Thanks, John Bojack

Cobra Trailer lights converting to 4-way flat--Help by Retting
Got a new Cobra with a 7-blade. My vehicles use 4-way flat. I was initially going to cut and install a 4way on the trailer, but hate to cut brand new plus thought if I install a combi on the vehicle I could tow others if a need arise. So, I find a vehicle combi at Lowe's, connect everything and...

Commerical OTS mesh antenna network for glider tracking by [email protected]
I was wondering if gotenna might be a practical way to handle glider tracking. https://www.gotenna.com/pages/mesh https://vimeo.com/184624592 looks interesting, i wonder how it would handle 1 message per minute or faster update rates. Chris

Winglets for Ventus B by David Cleveland
I am looking for a set of used winglets for a 1981 Ventus B. I would prefer the 15m tips, but I'll entertain 16.m tips as well. David

air extractor for asw19 and asw20 by [email protected]
I just installed a very cool - pun intended - air extractor in my ASW19. Its a nifty device that replaces that little hatch cover where the control connections are. My guess is that it was made on a 3D printer. Anyway, I couldn’t believe how well it worked and so I’m putting a shameless...

AL-KO Cobra Trailer Coupler Keyhole Slot? by OHM Ω http://aviation.derosaweb.net
On the side of the AL-KO 2" coupler on my Cobra trailer there is a "keyhole" shaped hole. What is it for? It sure looks like some type of locking mechanism but no one seems to know what it is for. The coupler is marked "CL4 2" AL-KO Elkhart, IN). I contacted AL-KO in the UK and they directed me...

how does one find a co-owner? by [email protected]
Hi everyone, I'm new to the gliding community. This is my first post on RAS, though I have been reading for a few months. I'm a power pilot transitioning to gliders. I have not yet soloed a glider, but I have enjoyed my glider flights more than any other aviation experience I have had to date. It...

Beringer Disc Brake Kit for Schemm-Hirth gliders - experience and effectiveness? by WaltWX[_2_]
Can anyone recommend the Beringer disc brake kit for Ventus, Discus or Schemmp-Hirth gliders? I'm seriously considering retrofitting my D2A after a nearly disastrous run off the runway up at Ely ... partially due to fading brake (plenty of pilot error problems too...) I'm especially interested in...
