My Twin Lark (located in West Virginia) needs its shock absorber repaired/overhauled or replaced (it's fully depleted and a nitrogen re-charge did not help). I've received help from others so far, but welcome additional insight, sources, recommendations, etc. on either repairing or replacing this...

Medical Cannula with EDS by [email protected]
A previous RAS topic asked about adapting cheaper medical cannulas to the Mountain High EDS units. I posted a reply suggesting it was a "penny wise, pound foolish" solution. But, in the interest of investigation, I purchased (too many) cannulas from Amazon, following a link recommended in the...

Sustainer engine run by Jonathan St. Cloud
Just curious, how long are the guys with solo 2350 sustainer engines running their engines before they depart on XC flights? I have been running the engine for about 30 seconds but I have no idea how long it should to run to be fully lub'ed and kept in good running condition.

Google Maps released a relatively new feature called "Share location". It allows you to share your location with another person for a set amount of time. We successfully used this to track our XC guys this past weekend (OLC - http://tinyurl.com/yc5d3ltc) and it was very easy to setup. The one...

Near encounter with airliner detected on PowerFlarm by Steve Koerner
This past Saturday my flight out of Estrella took me about 10 miles NW of Tuscon class C at 11,200 ft with my Trig transponder on and blinking replies to radar. I was northbound at 90 - 100 kts. I observed an ADS-B target on my PowerFlarm display and on ClearNav display coming directly on a...

Komet Trailer by [email protected]
Hi all, I have recently taken a significant upgrade in trailers for my Libelle from a cigar tube trailer to a Komet. We adjusted it to go from a Discus to a Libelle and it is so much nicer to rig and de-rig out of. Trailers matter! I have two questions, if I have to reweld a support bar on the...
