Jeff Dakers
Hi everyone, I Just got a new enroute plotter for VFR flying, and it is
amazing! If you haven't heard about it, it's made by Jeffron Industries
and they call it the Speed Wizard and it's great for finding out ETA's and

nissan 3.5 liter by
Hello,
Has anyone looked at this engine for use on a plane? It looks to me like it
might have possibilities. It's used in a bunch of different vehicles with
different outputs from 240hp all the way up to 287hp due to different
exhausts, intakes and computers (I think). Anyway the stats as...

OT - Maintenance Humor by
jc
You might work in aircraft maintenance If...
1. You've ever slept on the concrete under a wing
2. You've ever said, "Oh yes sir, it's supposed to look like that."
3. You've ever sucked OXY to cure a hangover.
4. You know what JP4/JP8 tastes like.

Wicker or caned seats for a biplane by
Ebby
Hello,
I am building a Hatz biplane which looks a lot like the Waco. I was
thinking about putting an authentic looking wicker or caned seats in it.
Can someone in this group point me in the right direction for some plans,
ideas or examples? Thanks

Flying with an unfilled weave? by
LakeCapt
Hello,
Has anyone seen any data/research showing the performance gains of
filling the fiberglass weave of a composite aircraft such as a KR-2?
For example, if a KR is built with a RAF-48 or NACA wing
(non-laminar), if layups were done over a smooth substrate (smooth
foam), and the weave of an...

B-36! by
Cub Driver
I went through the B-36 some years ago for a magazine article. The
deal was that I should be at the museum at eight a.m. and a docent
would take me through, and we would be done before it opened to the
public at nine.
Well, of course we weren't through by nine, and at one point I looked
back, and...

Jon Johanson..Long delete if not interested by
Jerry Springer
This was posted to the RV-List and because there was a lot of discussion here I
thought some might find it interesting. One thing I found interesting yesterday
morning while having breakfast with Dick Vangrusven is that the takeoff weight
of Jons RV-4 was around 3,300lbs. This is amazing in that...
