Bonny Doon ? by Road Dog
Does anyone know anything about Bonny Doon private airport (C77) ? I'd like to land there to pick up a friend, and am happy to sign any waiver but haven't been able to reach anyone by phone to see if that's ok. Has anyone done this ? Do you just land and go to the office ? Thanks

Yesterday's 1 1/4 hour flight compressed to 9 minutes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_XvY44k1NdY Video contains landings at KJAN, KHKS and M16. Camera overheated at the end of my flight and I restarted it for the KMBO landing, ended up going around (bottom dropped out more then I cared for) and...

LSA instructor in airplane singe engine sea by Danny[_2_]
If I become an LSA instructor in airplane single engine sea, can I give dual training and log book endorsements to a private pilot that is trying to add the class of single engine sea to his certificate? I looked at the regs and it looks like I would be technically be giving instruction for someone...

CAT II/III landing by john89
Hello everybody, Having recently visited an International Airport, I have got one more question ;-) Probably you can help me clarify something regarding the CAT II/III marking strips. When there are unfavourable weather conditions like fog, leading to a Category III landing approach, I guess those...

What airplane is in this video? by Jim Logajan
Can anyone ID the model of the plane that has the accident in this video (accident appears near the end): http://www.vimeo.com/4906010 I can't make out the design on the tail, which might indicate the owner or operator. I'm guessing this happened in western Canada or in Alaska - but I suppose...

VIP TFRs and protesters with weapons by Jim Logajan
Your ultralight and Cessna 152 aren't typically allowed within 10 nm of the president's aircraft, for presumably security reasons, but this is allowed: "Man carrying assault weapon attends Obama protest" http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090817/ap_on_re_us/us_obama_protesters_guns (I wish the AOPA,...

Question: Elevation --- RWY by john89
Hello everybody, I got a question regarding the so-called "elevation", i.e. the highest point of a runway. I have been told that the elevation is usually at the threshold, right before the touchdown zone, in order to ensure an easier take-off. However, as airplanes land in the same direction as...
