Joker
I was told I have a 1935 Lawrance 5cyl. Radial engine, I’m interested in selling.
I know nothing about it except what I’ve been told from the previous owners wife which isn’t a lot . I’ll add a lot of pictures to help with condition. I’m asking 2500.
Your responsible for shipping or picking it up.

Airworthiness certification of an experimental by
Ace Pilot
Where can I find a fairly detailed explanation of the airworthiness
certification of an experimental aircraft? Specifically, I'd like to
know if experimentals get certified in a class (land, sea, single
engine, multi-engine) or just in category. I'm sure I'll have
additional questions, which is why...

Missing OSH by
Morgans
Well, I just got the news today, that I will have to undergo back fusion
surgery, and will not be able to go to OSH this year. It breaks my heart,
but I am looking forward to some relief of my pain.
Drink one for me, gang!

welding rod by
Del Rawlins
A while back I posted that after trying E70S-6 filler rod for TIG
welding 4130 steel, that I preferred using S-2 although the S-6 worked
fine. I had more parts to weld tonight, and at Bruce Frank's suggestion,
I first sanded the copper coating off the rod and then wiped it with
acetone. It made a...

Adjustable prop experience? by
Richard Lamb
Well, I have a Fred Serba 68 x 68 which is probably a reasonable
compromise between climb and cruise. Not very heavy either.
But to really get her going fast, more pitch drill sergent!

Brake line design question by
Charlie Smith
Jeff,
You may wish to consider Parker Parflex nylon hose. It is available in
several wall thickness at 1/4 inch OD. The hose is UV stabilized so there
is little worry about it becoming brittle after a few years of exposure to
light (you could always paint over it). Minimum purchase lengths for...

Lowest cost per mile flown motor- 2 stroke by
Bruce A. Frank
In theory the lead provides lubrication, but in application it causes
sticking and burned valves from un-even deposits on the sealing surfaces
of the valve and seat. Now if you have rotators on the valves there
might be a different story. With the materials used in valves and valve
seats, even ...
