Check list challenge: 'Verify Emergency in RAP.'
Response: 'Done. The group has been hijacked and is correctly
squawking 7500"
There's not much hope of recovery, the infection has caused brain
death, it's been in a persistent vegetative state. The bad guys won.
RAP, RIP.

Canadians Go Visiting. by
brian whatcott
I ran into three Canadian crews who arrived at Amarillo when I did,
yesterday.
Dark blue two seat turboprops. I said they looked far from home.
One explained: "We get a five day Easter vacation, and we had the use
of these training planes." "We're from Saskatchewan".
So we compared notes after...

To go around or not go around? - Video by
Kai Rode
It would be interesting to hear what others would have done on the
first landing.
Go around. It's almost always the safer decision. But maybe I'm influenced
by a similar situation I experienced the day before yesterday...crosswind
landing on RWY31 with winds 24013G23KT. I used full flaps...

Parkwest Air Tours by
N2310D
Hi all,
While at the AOPA expo last Saturday, I wandered by Parkwest's booth. My
significant other and I are intrigued by the "Grand Expedition" tour and
seriously considering it for next summer. It is pricey, but not terribly out
of line.
Anybody here have any experience with the scheme and...

leaning a lycoming engine by
airpix
A few of you were asking about leaning a Lycoming engine awhile back.
Here's the official word from Lycoming:
In order to cope with high elevation airport takeoffs with normally
aspirated engines, whenever the density altitude is 5,000 feet or
higher, the pilot must compensate on the ground before...

.... for a normally aspirated piston occurs at sea level and full power, but
for a turbonormalised engine it will be at critical altitude, right?
Thanks in advance.

Memphis Belle Pilot Update by
Jay Honeck
This just in regarding Col. Bob Morgan, pilot of the Memphis Belle in World
War II:
As of this morning Bob's pulmonologist has given him very little chance of
survival. This is a terrible turn of events, as he was doing better just
yesterday. Needless to say, his family is devastated.
The...

Verifying emal address by
VideoGuy
Attention: Nancy Poggemoeller
If you actually get this, please "reply to all" so we know this is still a
good email address for you. Krista was trying to email you some new
pictures of Jenna and they bounced. She's not sure exactly what email
address she used, so I'm trying the last one I have...

Post air pictures on usenet. by
TThierry
I've changed my gallery and now there are direct links towards the
pictures in the gallery. Thus, if you want to show a picture and don't
have your web page, as long as it is an air picture, you can use the
gallery to make it available on the net, then post the link to access
it.
Try these ones...

Another flight done. by
Oz Lander[_2_]
I've posted this with all my errors and mistakes included, as I believe
in posting true and accurate accounts of what happened. I state here
and now, that I know what they all were, and have learned from them. I
do not wish to evoke the sort of criticism I copped last time.
Well, I was due to fly...

What a sight...and what a sound by
Roger (K8RI)
I thought I'd posted this to RAP but apparently it didn't show up. So
if it shows up twice...
I had been working out in the shop this evening and was beginning to
think about going into the house when I heard what sounded like a
helicopter in the distance, but as it got louder the beat was way...

Any suggestions: Winnipeg/Edmonton to Seattle? by
Journeyman
I'm planning to on making a trip from Long Island Sound to Puget Sound
(and back) later this year. We're expecting to do a side trip enroute to
Winnipeg and/or Edmonton.
Any suggestions on routing across the mountains to Spokane? From there, I
can just take the I-90 across Snoqualmie...

Bonny Doon ? by
Road Dog
Does anyone know anything about Bonny Doon private airport (C77) ?
I'd like to land there to pick up a friend, and am happy
to sign any waiver but haven't been able to reach anyone
by phone to see if that's ok. Has anyone done this ?
Do you just land and go to the office ?
Thanks
