Ah, the joys of ANR.... by
Jim
Save some money, you don't need new glasses. I wear glasses and solved
the problem by buying a pair of "Oregon Aero" ear seals. Most pilot
shops have them. They are a bit more expensive then other high end
brands but these do the trick and function as "seals" efectively. Try
them, you'll lile...

Dumb Q re R22 by
JohnO
How come Robinson never brought out an EFi upgrade? I understand the
development, testing and certification would cost a lot but surely the
equipment is already available, not THAT expensive, and the safety and
performance benefit (no carb heat or mixture controls!) would make it
worthwhile?
Just...

Another Rotor Group by
Ol Shy & Bashful
I'm sure it has been posted before but for those who haven't seen it,
check out JustHelicopters.com and look at the alternate board - not the
original. One is for serious questions, answers, discussions, and the
other is wild and raucus with rumor, name calling, crazy, funny as hell
sometimes,...

ANR headset - which one?? by
B4RT
The Bose headsets become less than worthless if the ANR dies. Their passive
sucks big time. Also, their connector wiring is really winpy quality IMO. I
think they're really targeted at people who just feel a lot better if they
spend more. Their ANR response seems to be tuned to knock out piston...

I know I've been a bit lax with my lesson reports lately. Unfortunately the
devil's ****ed on my cornflakes and I've acquired a rather nasty medical
condition that's going to take some work to get over, not to mention a large
amount of circus training in order to be able to jump through hoops the...

Agusta 109 Fadec Question by

Is there something in the book about how long it takes for the fadec
to shift from ground idle to flight mode. It sure seems like a bunch of
these things hit the ground hard on failed takeoffs after being in idle
on the ground for a while. I'd hate to think these things like to
decorate hospital...

Bell 212 fin by
[email protected]
Many years ago, when I was working with Bell 212s, I knew that all FAA
certified IFR machines had to have that fin on the roof in front of the
mast. I've heard that the fin is no longer required but I couldn't
find any info about it.
Does anybody know about this? If the fin is no longer required,...

Info on Tilt- Rototrs Needed by
[email protected]
Hey guys, I am thinking on giving a seminar on Tilt-Rotor Aircrafts as
a part of my Mechanical Engineering Final Year Syllabus. However all
the info i found on the net (read Google) deals with the BA-609 and the
Osprey specifically and not with the concept of Tilt Rotors. Can anyone
help me out?...
