Craig R.
Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms out there.
For you kids:
-if you are with her, give her another hug
-if you are not with her, CALL!
-if you forgot... ouch! You know she's grabbing the "keys" to your glider for the next week! No soaring for you! ;-)
Best wishes.

New PDA with e-ink display, internal barometer, gps etc. by
[email protected]
A new PDA is coming to market. This one is quite different from what we've seen in the past. I would buy this in a heartbeat if I knew it would run X/C Soar. I'm interested in others opinions about the chances of this working in the cockpit.

Trouble with Cambridge Utility by
Wade
I attempted to export (file/save as) a group of 75 waypoints chosen in the See You desktop version for use in a Cambridge 302 (.dat file) The waypoints in See You were from the original seeyou.cup file that came with the software when I bought it. When I try to upload the .dat file to the 302 using...

Cobra trailer wing dolly plastic sidewall rollers? by
[email protected]
When I was at the Perry contest last week, another pilot mentioned to me that the wing dolly plastic rollers that run in side channels to keep the dolly upright had worn out, causing his wing dollies to bind when rolling in/out of the trailer. We looked at mine, and they are badly worn as well, so...

Too fast vs too slow by
Ramy
Say overall speed is not an issue (you are not racing) and the only objective is to achieve best glide to make it home with a marginal final glide. Also lets assume you fail to maintain the correct speed and deviate +/- 10 knots. Which will have less penalty, flying 10 knots too fast or too slow...

See You Mobile Declared Task Pilot Name by
Wade
If see you mobile was registered to someone else and they are letting you borrow their PDA for a badge flight, the name attached to the registration is what gets declared to any other devices linked up (Cambridge 302 for example).
I can enter a separate pilot in the Cambridge 302/303 but I don't...

302 problem with 'B' record error? by
[email protected]
My 302 worked last year, but for the first flights this year has a problem with OLC. Nothing was touched on the instrument in the meantime.
OLC reports that the 'b' records in the log are inconsistent and are described as having spikes. The OLC help team kindly restored one of the two logs I have...

Possible Damage to Cambridge 302 by
Dan Marotta
Had my canopy off today to do some work behind the panel. I accidentally
leaned against the panel and it slammed down. I powered up and everything
works except for the CAI302. The display turns on and, IIRC, the needle
swung, but it never got beyond the second screen, the one which displays a...

FS: Gap Tape by
Tom Johnson
40 Rolls of white gap tape for $45
Shipping paid to addresses in the USA.
This tape is good for single day use.
Put it on, fly, take it off.
It is NOT as good as the $8 to $15 a roll
tape, but for about $1.10 a roll it is a
reasonable alternative.
